Every once in a while I tell people from other countries about how the health insurance system works in the US and they are aghast. Yesterday a guy straight up didn’t believe me when I said people can die because of not being able to afford medicine. He was sure I meant in the distant past.

The bill is so much more than taxes & cuts. Not surprisingly, it's not being covered enough. It cements every aspect of P25 for the next 10 years. Huge increases in military. More money on "immigration" (really more deportations). IRS changes to small businesses. And so on. Horrible.
Do any of those "ways to persuade women to have more children" involve maternity leave, subsidized childcare, strict child support enforcement, increased SNAP benefits, paid pregnancy care, researched into improved maternal/fetal outcomes, and housing subsidies? No? HOW ODD.
