I’ve been dealing with men on the internet since before you were in your dad’s nutsack, so don’t you dare tell us to “protect ourselves” like we haven’t had to do that our whole fucking lives. And don’t you dare tell us to watch out for the MASSIVE red flags from men who are excellent manipulators.

Even if you have strong boundaries, no one is immune to manipulation. No one. I thought I was and fended off more obvious tactics, but manipulation can come in many forms. People who get manipulated aren’t stupid or naive, and implying that women who get taken advantage of are such is both cruel to those people and doing yourself a disservice by thinking it can’t happen to you.
