today marks the day one of my favorite video games turns 11 years old. i first played Ori and the Blind Forest in 2021 during high school, and while it didn't hit me as hard as its sequel, it still played an important role in cementing Ori as my favorite video game protagonist of all time.

honestly, the lineup for the winners is pretty solid. i really liked Silksong, so obviously it's my GOTY, and after having recently just starting Dispatch, i can see why that game won Outstanding Story-Rich Game. and despite not having played BG3, i can tell it was a labour of love, so huge respect.

ohhhhhhh boy, i had to cut out a ton of the pauses during the New Year's Eve stream, and it turns out this video that used to just be like 3 to 4 GBs at most as spiked to 73 GIGABYTES after cutting it shorter. probably because it's in a higher resolution (all of my streams are in 720p).

well Christmas happened.

it was alright ig. nothing major, just a hop on, hop off. only substantial thing that happened was me planning out my New Year plans, smth i'll be discussing on the eve of the New Year.

just tried out Clover Pit today, i think i unlocked a new obsession. it's really fun and addictive, and while a run can end poorly due to bad luck, nothing can stop the unwavering thrill of pulling the lever one more time.

hmm i should probably try re-drawing that sketch of Ori now that i am more experienced. but at the same time, i don't normally draw other people's characters because of my general disinterest in total accuracy.

i use a PNGtuber as a cheaper alternative. and a lazy one as well.

idk if its just me, but i find it weirdly fascinating just how much my style has since evolved, from not being able to draw well to finally giving my characters a body and not even caring if its accurate to the actual character/animal i'm interpreting.
