This past weekend I hit 150 bird species for the year with a nice early push of swallows. Halfway to my modest goal of 300 birds for the year. I don't have any trips planned so it might be a little difficult.

My idiot No Labels representative was one of the 10. Time to replace Ami Bera with a real Democrat. He needs a primary challenge.

That's the part that gets me. Defense of others is a legal use of force. They start grabbing I start punching. Guarantee I take a few of these goons with me.

I really enjoy seeing these birds. Good find.

What an awesome animal. This is one of my most wanted to see amphibians in my home county. Only 2 records in iNaturalist and almost all of the habitat is locked up in private ranches. 😥

I finally refound the Thick-billed Longspurs in Sutter County this weekend. Too distant for pictures but this lovely Prairie Falcon that landed in the field was more cooperative. #birding #birds #falcon

Almost to 100 for the year. It was a beautiful day for a quick birding jaunt. I visited a country cemetery in the area I grew up and found 5 Pink-bellied (currently Lewis's) Woodpeckers and a gorgeous Ferruginous Hawk soaring nearby.

I love playing the official online version from Monster Couch through Steam. It's fantastic because I can play with friends all over and no resetting the game board.
