I really like watching #Glastonbury on the TV, apart from any time it shows literally anyone in the crowd.

I borrowed a copy of this from the library when I was maybe 12 or 13. I taped it and spent the summer listening to it over and over on my walkman.
Every song on here is like a time machine and even now, every time I listen, something new reveals itself. It's magic.

Reading the latest issue of @2000ad.bsky.social and wondering if this is a @therapyofficial.bsky.social reference or just a coincidence?

Every time I feel the pure dopamine spike I get from adding a new bird to my bird-spotting app I can also feel my younger self trying to surge forward in time to slap the phone from my hand in shame.
Saw a goldcrest this morning by the way. Buzzing.

A severely under appreciated album. Inventive and eclectic with not a drop spilled in song quality. Been listening to it since it was released and I've never met another human who loves it the way I do. #musicsky #cdcollection #soulwax #nowplaying

Haven't heard something new that immediately grabbed me in some time. This is great. Urgent, desperate post-hardcore and morose indie rock. Savage and catchy as hell.

Snapped Ankles in Cardiff last night. Been wanting to see these guys for ages. Motorik dance punk by mystical forest folk. What's not to love.

The red bit is a camera. Always wondered if it was meant to look a bit like a dog's nose though.

"The morons are in power so we kick back and get farther behind.
And we watch them as they fuck up every good thing on this earth with their minds.
You see, the world's falling apart at the rifts and surprisingly, the leaders can't make any sense of it..."

Brilliant episode of the @scarredforlife.bsky.social podcast with Joe Cornish this week. I feel like he's now transferred his last scar to everyone that heard it, like the curse in The Ring. The most insane thing to be described on any episode and not even close.

Fantastic episode. Ellis is great value on any podcast, but especially when he's let loose on music or football.

One of my favourite records of the last few years. Singaporean metal giants Wormrot's 2022 masterpiece "Hiss".
Grindcore, thrash, punk, hardcore, black metal, avant garde... it's got it all.

Dreamy psychedelic grooves with the Miki Berenyi Trio in Newport last night.

An all-time top 5 punk record for me. It's insane how relevant the lyrics are, still.
I've been particularly taken with "What Can You Do" recently.

Supreme early grindcore. A genre born in the widening gyre. An explosion of anger and disgust as blistering, furious punk and extreme metal.
Honestly, a soothing balm for the madness of it all.

My favourite example of a wtf band appearance is the time the mighty Mclusky turned up on rubbish Welsh CD:UK facsimile The Pop Factory, playing To Hell With Good Intentions to a bunch of teenage girls. Would love to hear how this happened @shitrock.bsky.social

Big RIP to David Lynch. A man who has been a massive presence in my life ever since I saw Eraserhead as a teenager. I ended up doing my Art A-Level around studying his furniture designs (yeah I know, I know...)
A true original. How many artists end up with their own adjective?
