I love water, but the best type of water is undoubtedly untreated standing water between the temperatures of 50° and 140°F.

We are stronger together, we as a species no longer exist in nature and have in many ways cheated evolution, we are able to benefit each other by working together and are better for it.
The phrase "survival of the fittest" is often removed from it's original evolutionary context and errantly applied to innumerable situations within society. But the reality, both throughout human history and today, is survival of the collective, not the fittest individual.
go off king history will exonerate you

I don't think these ones are visible from Amtrak although they are near-ish to the UP main line heading out of St Louis, can you show me which ones you're talking about?
I did find a railroad spike though :)
Oh that's rad, I don't think I'll get that lucky though. These buildings have been abandoned for at least 50 years and of them for sure has at least partly been on fire at one point.
Shooting on my beloved Nikon Z5 ofc 😌
btw I'll definitely be going back here in the near future with different camera lenses, I only brought a 50mm and that was way too tight.
Great for lining up artistic shots but I struggled to convey the context of my surroundings. I think my 28mm is gonna be perfect :)
The Nickel Plate RR ran from Buffalo to Chicago, terminating in St Louis. My best guess is that these buildings were abandoned in the 70s.
They are all that remains of the once massive multi-railroad freight interchange operation on the shore of the Mississippi River.
Aerials are from 1955.

despite the hype around their color films I haven't really loved them, BUT the Cinestill BWXX which I hear nothing about might be my favorite black and white film tbh.
All of these pictures were taken on the Minolta 50mm F/1.4 I repaired :3
