After a thoughtful discussion with Core committers, WordPress is moving to one major release per year starting in 2025. Regular maintenance and security releases will continue to keep sites stable and secure between major updates.

I definitely had the same thought with the Meta settlement - a clever way around campaign donation regulations.
I have a co-working space for when I need it, like a conference room, training room, etc. Generally orgs with more than one physical location - WFH makes more sense. Too often I read about ppl being forced to work onsite even though all their meetings are virtual anyway. Pointless.
I WFH and have since 2020. I run my own tech business from home. I work with people in multiple times zones. When I hire, there is a dearth of highly qualified applicants in tech who just want to be treated like adults, to be trusted as SMEs. This "debate" works in my favor.
Though I am resistant to the current administration, I don't subscribe to the extremely polarizing message of "us v them". The world, and everyone's world views, are more nuanced than that. Arguably, deep polarization got us into this mess.
