..à ces vidéos undertale, je me suis dit que cette journée était finalement bonne, j'avais besoin de me replonger dans de l'art, parfois bizarre, fait avec plus ou moins de moyens mais par des gens qui ont mis du cœur dans un univers qu'ils adoraient. J'ai toujours de gros soucis à braver.. 4/?

Hier, j'étais sur un stream où ça regardait plein de vieux cover, animations, comic dub autour de l'univers d'undertale. Parfois cringe, souvent géniaux, ça me rapelle que j'ai passé quasiment mon adolescence à traîner dans cette commu.. 1/?

Je viens vraiment de voir dans le bus des collègiens regarder les animations IA fétichisantes avec les fruits.. Ça fait quand même peur, au fond de moi j'espérais que personne ne regardait ça

C'est bizarre qu'il reste des places là bas mais en vrai si tu penses y aller, je te souhaite vraiment d'avoir de la chance et de réussir à récupérer des places 🤞

Ouais même avec la hype, je pensais pas que tout allait partir dans la minute d'ouverture, et avec l'afflut de monde, ça c'est vraiment joué à ceux qui avaient de la chance 🥲 force à toi quand même, j'imagine le dégoût de voir que ça n'a pas été validé

Bon bah j'ai pas réussi à chopper de place pour le concert undertale du 23 aussi alors que je me suis connecter à l'heure pour la pré-vente. J'ai pas vu de place catégorie 3, je me suis dit "tiens un bug, je vais refresh" et hop en fait toutes les places se sont envolé même les plus chers...

CSM Thoughts Central Thesis: Denji is an extension of Fujimoto. If you think of the ending purely in terms of the plot that happens, it is dissapointing in the sense that I think with one or two more chapters of the bug fight and build up, this could’ve been well set up. Viewed through the meta lens of Denji being Fujimoto though, I think this is a really powerful and beautiful ending. Plot: I wish we had gotten more at the end. I could see a world where we get two more chapters where Denji beats the bug demons and eats them but another threat shows up cause bugs are gone, then another, then another, and so on till there is nothing but a wasteland left. And with reality basically destroyed, Denji decides to give up CSM with the help of Asa and Pochita creating that new world they talked about and giving us the ending we got. (Note, there are probably plenty of problems with this and it comes across as a fanfic ending, just rough ideas of what I think could’ve set it up better)

Meta: I think by viewing Denji as Fujimoto, the ending is explained a lot more. Denji could never truly be happy as CSM. He could never pick the quiet and calm life rather than CSM, on one hand because he still desired that power and fame, but also he never was given the chance to. He was forced to become CSM again because he was the most powerful being in the world and everyone wanted to use him for their reasons. So by giving up CSM, he was finally able to live that simple life. Sure he wants more and it’s not like life is perfect. But now he can live out his life with Power and Nayuta, two incredibly important people to him throughout his life. And there is the hint that there could be more with Asa, probably his healthiest romantic interest. I think this mirrors perfectly to Fujimoto. CSM was a break out success for him. But that also meant he was trapped by it. He couldn’t make his one-shots or really take a break, there was always the weakly grind. So the only way to freedom was to end it, to “erase” chainsaw man. Now he is free, and he hopes not as famous and the center of attention. He can make his weird shit and live a quiet life. The symbolism of Denji dropping the chainsaw to save Asa is really important, but also then when she calls him Chainsaw Man we see that spark of Pochita in him still. To me, that says that while he is dropping CSM, there is that desire in him still to still embody it and write the story. NOT SAYING THERE IS A PART 3, but just the conflicted nature of it.

With this in mind, I think the ending I outlined before couldn’t happen. I am wanting more from him. I am saying “No, but this next time will surely be the end I am looking for.” I am the same as Denji here. In some ways, it is better the bandage is ripped off and we get what we get. That Fujimoto is free. I wanted Denji to make that final choice to show growth, but maybe Fujimoto himself doesn’t feel like he is there yet (I mean, he did end this so I think he is there and it would fit). I am sad we didn’t get more from Asa in the ending because she is such a huge part of part 2 and what I think made it special. I don’t really have any reason for that outside of Fujimoto saw himself more in Denji than in her. I think the bit between her and Yoru about how her sins are nothing to a demon really affected me, and I wish we got to see more of the impact of that on Asa. Doing some creative reading here, but I feel like this is the ending Fujimoto probably had planned for a while, but he was probably running on fumes towards the end. I could feel it going week to week, with all of the breaks and what felt like poor pacing. So I think he might have hit his limit and just wanted to be free, giving us the abrupt nature of the ending. Which for that, I am happy for him, and I will look forward to whatever he does next.

I can't stop thinking about the ending of Chainsaw Man, so I decided to write up my current thoughts. All in all, Thank you Chainsaw Man, and thank you Fujimoto
