also - if we can do this we can do voting….. so we know the motivation isn’t convenience.

People really should pay editors to catch spelling mistakes like that before they publish; really undermines the trust in the author when silly things like this are at the end.

Hey - i’m looking for vendors to get started on labeling some video data. Anyone seeing this who has purchased services before in this arena care to reach out; have some questions on vendors and approximate costs.

Something like

I think that's what's pissing me off as a product claude has been constantly getting better. Its got is problems sure but gd they've been consistently trending in the "right" direction.

No disagreement there but I'd say so far what is "less rote" has been a bigger piece than I expected initially.

And it is hard with experience still, just a totally new constant modality of work even with years of experience.

Imo the 2nd is a feature not a bug, we already understand how to build software one pr at a time. It just means you're spending more time in planning than doing now. Its why I think we're hearing about fatigue and burn out managing these tools. Lots of devs never learned those skills/techniques.

Im glad to see this articulated this way. I've been couching most of my language recently as, these tools are making it so the question of should is more important than can. So wisdom is going to be more important than intelligence going forward. But you've articulated it with great nuance. Thanks!

Why are we giving these turds anonymity? If this happened come out and report it publicly.

I’m also hopeful for this.

Data centers are clearly critical infrastructure for the military even w/o “AI” - so seems obvious that they’d be targets; and co-locating them with civilian assets shouldn’t protect them hope those on site technicians are getting hazard pay.

Also
>getting alignment on the PRD
I don’t think LLMs help here. Alignment is fundamentally about parties and assuming they have different needs; will continue to take time. I just spent 3 weeks getting alignment across a company and executed the work in an evening.

I agree with shorter dev cycles, but I still believe the Agile manifesto largely still holds up and will be critical - especially : "Continuous attention to technical excellence and good design enhances agility" and "Simplicity--the art of maximizing the amount of work not done--is essential.”

Spicy take(?): nothing really changes in the over all flow of work, its just that one of the biggest natural friction points is no longer useful in helping drive a conversation of CAN vs SHOULD. The discipline to stop and think before you act will be the real divider in execution now - not velocity.
