Hi Fiona, good to see you here!
More recently, we have been looking at the interrelationship of empathy and emotion regulation. Key papers: psycnet.apa.org/record/2023-... link.springer.com/article/10.1... (5/5)
A longstanding area of our interest is empathy. One strand has examined the role of reward in shaping empathy related processes, and implications for autism. Key papers onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1...

The GutBrain project examines gut microbiota in relation to behaviour and brain function, with a focus on GABA. This project owes its origin to a lunchtime chat about bacteria producing GABA in the gut.. (and we found one in an in-vitro study too) academic.oup.com/jambio/artic... (3/5)
STREAM is a digital platform made of observation and game based assessments to measure aspects of social behaviour, cognition, motor function, and sensory interests. The platform has been used in studying ~4000 children in India and Malawi bmjopen.bmj.com/content/14/6... (2/5)
Since we're starting over, it might be a good idea to introduce some of the stuff we've been working on. We have a mix of lab-based projects (in UK) and community based projects (India, Malawi) - looking at measuring individual differences related to autism. (1/5)
