And present an ARMY point of view of their artistry. There is no inherent beauty in presenting AI’s perspective on BTS. When we write about the art of BTS, we encounter the gift of their artistry over and over, and we wouldn’t want to erase that privilege from our lives.+

But we believe that our work is more meaningful and a better contribution because we don’t use AI. Our goal is to share our true voices and our appreciation of BTS. Using AI to write about our experiences with BTS would rob us of the journey and the work it takes to understand+

We share this statement about the use of AI in our writing in the name of transparency. Our guiding principle has always been to provide an ARMY perspective on BTS’s artistry. It’s not always easy to express our ideas in our own words+

Grammarly, autocorrect, translation apps, and research (e.g., Google AI search results to confirm dates, track lists, lyrics, names of collaborators, etc.).+

From their music, which combines their 7 voices harmoniously, their dynamic & teamwork, with each member playing a specific but essential role, to their different yet complementary personalities, BTS has always been about shining individually to come together as a greater whole.+

Just before we welcomed #BTS_ARIRANG, we wrote about how “even before choosing Arirang as the title of their first post-military album, BTS had already embodied the spirit of Arirang throughout their career.”+

The two questions are emblematic of a quality that BTS has exemplified at a very high and sophisticated level: their ability as artists to act as gatherers of collective experience that they then reflect to their millions of fans through their music and art.+

When BTS debuted in June 2013, they announced their arrival by asking youth, “What is your dream?” in their debut single, “No More Dream.” In 2026, before the release of their new album, Arirang, they once again asked a question: “What is your love song?+

“Arirang is a continuation of this positioning: It’s a celebration of the individual and the collective…[and a way for] BTS to decenter themselves and remind us that “they are but one in a long line of artists and contributors to their history and culture.”+

“To me, BTS’s position and outlook has always seemed to be “This is who I am in the world,” looking at and investigating the self to better exist in the collective. The same dynamic works at every level or from any angle one looks at BTS.”+

“To listen to BTS is to engage with the complexity of the world, to walk a path alongside a group of artists who, through their music, remind you of the beauty of the world, despite all its horrors, darkness and injustices.”+
