I'm very grateful for my meds for allowing me to focus but sometimes I wish it wasn't at the exclusion of the rest of my life when it's something so energy intensive. I don't know if it's entirely the meds either or still recovering from the burnout. Or maybe it's me operating within my capacity idk

Condos take longer to sell but I'm SUPER hoping things move fast! I'm so ready to be done with this place. 💙

I used my tax return to finally get professional help getting it to a point where it was stage ready. They did in TWO DAYS what we were struggling to do for six months. Sometimes you just have to spend the money 🫠
👋🏽 I'm alive, just disappeared for two weeks in the hellmouth that is preparing and maintaining a place for open houses and showings. My place has NEVER been so clean and it is awful to maintain. But uhhhh, cross your fingers for us?
A strategy I am recommending to people who don’t want to mask all the time is always in healthcare facilities and public transportation, AND if you see someone in a mask, put yours on. The first helps protect spaces high risk people may have no choice but to go, the second shows them support.
So cool that people are still discovering this #Sinners syllabus, published by the African American Intellectual History Society, and composed by Jemar Tisby & Keisha N. Blain. Enjoy!
(If you're an airport nerd like V and now me by association, youtu.be/EpzzTNhKXAg)
Finally made it to Michigan and FINALLY got my checked bag, I'm never packing a crochet project again 😞
Three days after we were scheduled to be here (because of Newark thunderstorms and then Michigan snow), we finally made it to my MIL's place. 🫠
If you're going to get stranded at an airport, I would NOT recommend Newark. For SO many reasons, Newark airport suuuuucks.
REI also outfitted ICE in Minneapolis this winter, in case you need another reason to stop shopping there.
The thousands of feds were easier to spot at first because they very obviously weren't dressed for the cold, and that stood out. Then, they went shopping, and REI was happy to sell to them.
NO NO NO YOU DON’T

#grief seems appropriate that I can finally pick it up again now
Highly recommend I Love Hue for a non-addictive phone game if you need something to occupy your brain a little and all you have is your phone. I was finally able to delete the other games from my phone, with the exception of Walkscape.
#grief The Wood Wife by Terri Winding has been one of my favorite books for a very long time (I was obsessed with all the anthologies she edited when I was younger) but I haven't been able to pick it up since my dad died because I read it three times in a row to get through that time.
#grief in an effort to keep my brain/hands busy but not doomscroll or play addictive phone games, I've been crocheting a lot but I also managed to pick up and read a book for the first time in literal years.
#petdeath #grief Ended up spending two weeks at a friend's with her and her dogs, which was lovely but it wasn't any easier coming home a few days ago. We worked through putting away more of Cali's things today... Hug or boop or give your pets some love for me today. ❤️
Welp, my last post broke containment so now random people are liking that VERY sad post and I am blocking all of them.
Nonbinary flag with the words "BACK PAIN RELIEF"
I wish all of my nonbinary friends relief from back pain

#petdeath #grief Cali passed away suddenly on Monday so I am going full hermit rn. V and I ran away from our place for a while and are staying at a friend's so we don't need to face the... everything. Momo was sick for months and that was tough in its own way but to suddenly lose her has been hard

The cover of the graphic novel, a colored illustration by Daun Han depicting King in the foreground, Luz and Harpy Eda behind him, and the other cast of characters framing them including Willow, Hunter, Gus, Papa Titan, the Collector, and Amity.
We've been looking forward to sharing this news for a long time. We're making a graphic novel!

Babe, wake up, new sarcastic but entirely worthwhile internet abbreviation just dropped
Burnout is clinically understood as a combo of 6 factors—work overload, lack of control, insufficient rewards, breakdown in community, absence of fairness, & value conflicts—and only a fraction of it is under your control. Burnout is a systemic problem, so be kind to yourself and hard on the system.
Close up of embroidered Chicken of the Woods mushrooms done in shades of orange.

Current work in progress. Green fabric in a large embroidery hoop. A skeleton is reaching toward an opalite stone. Moss, plants, mushrooms, and vines are beginning to fill the field.
What an incredible mark!
I started doing art embroidery last year because my headphones decided to flake vinyl into my mouth. I thought, why not do something incredible that I've always wanted to try? Now I'm doing a larger piece to be framed in a shadowbox.
I get that everyone who is in the know knows this already but I am quite happy for a publication to be surfacing it again, especially for readers who may not be aware
one of the greatest human triumphs of my lifetime is the relentless, unceasing, heroic effort by DECADES' worth of doctors and scientists to find a cure for a disease much of the world didn't take seriously for years because it predominantly affected a community they thought kinda deserved it
