Two Virgins of Guadalupe at the church in Zegache, Oaxaca, Mexico. The church was restored by the townspeople with the help of my favorite Mexican artist, Rodolfo Morales, who painted the outside of the church in brilliant colors.

The baroque organ, circa about 1735, at San Jeronimo Church in Tlacochuaya (Oaxaca) Mexico. To see it, you must climb up a very narrow spiral stone staircase.

Paper mosaic. This one is 30x11 inches. They keep getting bigger. I have 9 of them now, enough for an exhibit in November, but I can’t seem to stop!

Needle felted jesters I made in Oaxaca, Mexico where I lived 14 years, a multi-year celebration of wool and a few million stabs with the needle!

Paper mosaic in progress! Create the textured papers, cut to size, glue on black board or paper. If you have any time on hand this will burn it up!

I wrote a poem about her. The drawing came later.

Trump and Putin are “going through something” right now and the implications are huge! This missing discussion is becoming more and more obvious and has made me and others retreat from American podcasts no matter how worthy, to international and British podcasts with military and other experts.
Tim, the experts I listen to on Russia and Ukraine including retired military, describe a major crisis unfolding in Russia as their war has come to Moscow and hundreds of other in-country targets. Putin is hiding and losing power. Yet you and other American podcasters have never even discussed this.
Between now and the midterms there will be a naked grab for power by Trump. He will give no warning to his cabinet or anyone else because someone will leak what’s coming.
Sitting with an old friend on a bench yesterday afternoon in the sun (a miracle in itself!) and after a few minutes of silent introspection she looked up at me with wide open eyes and said, “I didn’t know there were giant rocks in Poland!” And I’ve been wondering ever since.

Better a rat than a corpse-sniffing dog. At the age of 80 I have watched endless war, increasing ignorance, and endemic racism. Is this the best we can do?
How many more lucky escapes? A general strike is needed.
Most of us remember our first lie, whether we were caught or not. Thank god we were caught and punished. Or if we weren’t caught, how criminal we felt for how many years!
Yes. Even better, general strike.
