The season's not over for CTHS Soccer. They showed great resilience last night against Denton, overcoming two deficits then taking the match at the death, 3-2. First playoff appearance and first victory!!!
On to District Tuesday night vs. Joshua!!!
We're getting closer and closer to #Idiocracy every day.
At least you haven't broken your other leg...
Listened live driving back from a high school game, and it was all I could do not to drive off the road. Can't stop listening to it on a loop now.
Now I just need to hunt down the Tulsa fellow that featured on Canary Call...

I guess it's time to remind @ESPN once again that THIS IS NOT THE FORT WORTH SKYLINE!!!
Fort Worth โ Dallas.
Because he wasn't quite the explosive force on the pitch we were expecting...
FA investigating potential sanctions claims against #NCFC for their coach parking over the line during a 19-April-2003 match at Walsall.
After a thorough investigation the EFL have penalized #NCFC six points for the actions of their supporter's ancestors during Kett's Rebellion.
EFL currently investigating additional charges against #NCFC's Kenny McLean for an incident where he impersonated a public official.
Ongoing EFL investigation considering sanctions against #NCFC for fan behaviour at Portman Road from a 2017 match.
Waiting for the long overdue FA sanctions against #NCFC stemming from Delia's halftime on the pitch...
Ryan's also a co-founder of AmeriCanaries, and an all-around great guy, y'all.
Doink off...
Who's writing these scripts?!??? - Mitch Holthus

Come on @canaries.co.uk, send some teams over. #NCFC
I'm up on the NW side of town. Lots of development up here, but still have a few ranches about. See folks taking a horse to Sonic or Whataburger when the weather is nice.
Also have some Hispanic-run corrals for horse breaking closer to the Stockyards. See them riding all the time.
In Fort Worth we call this Tuesday (and Wednesday, Thursday, Friday...)
Banter is a different issue. Most is good natured, however biting it might be. That's not so much a thing here.
Pitch invasions? Oh yeah. Here's my 84,000 supporters from my alma mater last night after stomping Alabama despite being a 14 point underdog. #BoomerSooner #OUDNA
Something else I'll throw in... soccer has the potential to be like HS or college football in terms of fan atmosphere. Football here have bands that play the entire game, it's analogous to singing.
Both also have segregated seating for visiting teams.
Also, for 2025 Texoma's closest away game is a nine hour drive to Omaha. 2026 will be a little better as Corpus Christi is a seven hour drive, but supporting on the road may require some extraordinary action.
With few exceptions in the USA (Detroit City being one) the fan atmosphere isn't like in Europe. Hardcore eurocentric (or USMNT) fans laugh at MLS, which has made the game safe for suburban soccer moms.
What do fans over here need to know about supporting a club? Ho boy, where do I begin?!??
With all these clubs, even the MLS teams, there's no multigenerational support, where children support the clubs their parents. Like Forbesy's club, everything has to start from scratch.

I know one supporter who will be catching a few games in Sherman next season...
I even put out a request on the other site if the account over here was theirs. The least they could is cross-post to both systems.
Institutional accounts will go a long way towards growing things here.
I would show this dad joke to my students, but they wouldn't get it...
I'm pretty sure Mr. DeMartino would last about five minutes in an American middle school classroom before suffering a ruptured brain aneurysm...
Cue the "refs helping the Chiefs" screams...
