Mid 60's Corvette convertible. Bonus Prince points if it's red

Also this is when I learned Wendy's dad was a famous studio musician and a former president of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences?! Huh
I'm a huge Peter Gabriel fan and this is one of my all-time favorite music videos, but I didn't know until today that the stop motion was done by Aardman Animations (of Wallace & Gromit fame). But now that I know, I can totally see it!
This is my dream cereal
Such a bummer because Compilation was a great debut album
Maybe donate plasma and you can afford takeout now? That's pretty bleak if that's what they were going for
I don't really know what's official canon anymore but supposedly Palpatine was the one who "impregnated" Anakin's mom with the Force and created the virgin birth they talk about in TPM. So he's sort of Anakin's grandpa in a weird kind of way
I read an interview with him years (geez, maybe decades) ago where he said a bunch of the lyrics for Odelay were scratch tracks where he just made shit up to lay down the songs and then just never changed them
*inserts mooooving violation joke here*
And suddenly made Kylo Ren and Ren related which made their whole romance creepy and weird
Annie Lennox?
Impossible for me to choose since I'm ride or die with Prince in general but...
1. Pink Cashmere
2. Adore
3. Baby I'm a Star (in part because my six year old loves this song which just warms my heart)
"Dems are concerned Platner will be another Fetterman... but he won't get the chance if I claim the mantle for myself!"
That's awful. You shouldn't have to adjust your route or not go on a walk for fear of being attacked by a German Shepherd. And yeah it's hard to know what to do because contacting the city is so fraught and complicated right now with overzealous cops but that's just so dangerous and uncool
young pope looks like the guy in a Burning Man camp that's always bringing around killer grilled cheese sandwiches and everyone's trying to figure out his deal, is that dude he's sharing an RV with just a friend, who's that woman he always goes dancing with, is he straight or bi or gay or what
The Frank Miller Daredevil run (that a lot of the show is based on, it introduced Elektra, added Punisher, and was a lot of Wilson Fisk vs DD) is one of the best stretches ever in comics. I collected the whole thing and still have it
Really you could nominate a large part of the Beck catalogue
I read a TON of comic books as a kid, my faves were Daredevil and X-Men, and Daredevil is my favorite treatment of any of the Marvel characters. Who knew in the 80's that the saga of Daredevil battling a crime boss turned corrupt politician would translate so well to 2026 but here we are
Maybe they've done it but I've always thought a Jeopardy tournament of "players who got the closest to beating an all-timer during their runs" would be fun. A lot of these players would be 2-3 day champs if they hadn't run into a buzzsaw
I've been enjoying it because he doesn't feel QUITE as inevitable as Jennings or Holzhauer -- he's had blowouts but close shaves too. He feels more like a guy who's really good at Jeopardy on a crazy run whereas those two felt like space aliens whose trivia centers were activated by our yellow sun
I've had some success selling things on it, you just have to sift through a lot of weirdos and scammers to get to the legit buyers but you get pretty fast at spotting those. Takes some endurance though so I've only done it like twice
Post the best picture you have ever taken of your pet:
I know multiple people who only have FB for marketplace
LaMelo Ball is the Josh Giddey of the Hornets. Like Giddey in OKC, despite how good he may or may not be at times, karmically they will not be able to fully ascend to their ultimate form until he is gone
People who do any kind of travel planning -- buying tickets, checking out restaurants, looking for hotels, even reading about a city -- on a phone are absolutely insane to me
I legitimately though this was Joe Pantoliano. Not even just in the photo, in the trailer! For the record Jonah Hill is 42 and Joey Pants is 74
Amazing thread not only because this is one of the best Simpsons episodes but because there are SO MANY reinterpretations of Steamed Hams I never knew about
I've been enjoying Wonder Man but them walking through a vibrant studio lot where tons of different things are shooting feels like a period piece
