I always love a glowing book recommendation. Adding it to my list.

Busy day! About 7,000 steps in my house today.
Also, I finally asked to borrow the 8ft ladder from my FiL to change the lightbulbs in the fixture over the stairs. Time from asking for the ladder to changing bulbs 3 hours. They’ve been out for months! My office door at home catches now too.
All the cooking today. Brisket to bring tomorrow. Chicken broth to freeze for next week. Noodle kugel in the oven that will also be frozen for next week.
Moar cooking for next week tomorrow morning before we leave for my in-laws.
Yay!
Hmm I think it’s 6. I don’t eat pork or shellfish. I’ve tried them but not my thing probably because I didn’t grow up eating them.
That should help everything!
At least you have friendly neighbor and hot water today. Fingers crossed it stays.
Oh no! Are you still without?
Everyone is all excited about the big sports event on Sunday. I’m just excited because that makes bowling in the afternoon, we’re going to a diner afterwards, and home at a reasonable time.
Oof. I wish I could recommend my company at this point.
Ugh! Not the best birthday present at all!
Raffle winnings put to good use. Bottled Espresso martini and chocolate Baileys. Bonus Lindt truffles.
Please meet my instrument family for Frozen Jr.
I’ve used it for a Jazz Jam night at local bar and will be using it to sub in a rehearsal band on bari sax.
My only regret is not using it sooner for shows that need different or unusual sounds or something for a one off.
Guys! I am finally getting regular use out of my Covid lockdown impulse instrument purchase! Yay! I used it for half a song for a show last summer. Now using it for several songs where violin is needed in a current show.

He said it takes time but I have an inhaler and prednisone to help it along.
Yes, I’m amazed too that from calling for an appt at 8:20 they were able to squeeze me in and I’m home from the doctor and pharmacy within two hours.
Oh I get it. There was the time I wasn’t feeling great a while ago, went right away to get checked out, and it was early pneumonia.
Fortunately this time the doctor said it’s super common lately for people to get over a cold then her lingering stuff, like respiratory issues, for 6-8 weeks.
Breathing properly is helpful to play woodwinds. Who knew?
Guess who’s calling the doctor first thing tomorrow.
Bleh. I was feeling better from the cold and sore throat thing I had before Christmas that took a couple weeks. Now that that’s gone I feel like I have a respiratory thing. I suspected something but confirmed after practicing for a few hours today since tech week next week.
I was also up at 2 something not sleeping for a little while because *gasp* getting up for a minute to use the bathroom threw off my sleep.
Ugh. I hope you were able to fall back to sleep.
I’m at a Starbucks where my knit group used to meet. I haven’t been here in at least 13 years. We were here on election night in 2008 when Barrack Obama got elected. So many memories here. The long table is gone though.
Two instruments and one mouthpiece dropped off for post-concert season regulation, a recorking, and removing a ding. One more concert for me tonight.
This year’s Spotify wrap? Mostly the albums for the 3 musicals I played. One of the shows there were 3 different versions.
I’m trying to start a habit where i reach out to someone if I’m thinking about them even if it’s been a long time. So far I’ve had happy results!
Phew!
Flail. I hope it wasn’t too difficult to get a human.
A NYC “I Voted” sticker in red, white, and blue with a stylized “V” held above a sign on the sidewalk that says “Vote Aqui!”
Did I really vote if I don’t post a picture? What if it’s not a selfie?
The next and only other time I’m leaving the house today is to vote across the street after work while it’s still light out.
