I went 3-3, placing 520th which puts me squarely in the middle.

The Rio has bad hotel rooms, it feels like a ratty 1992.

My opponents were all cool, the bathrooms were cleaned often, the event ran smooth.

#wargameslive is great because it’s like we’re next to the table, hanging out with our buddies.

The action in a game of Warhammer is the sound of dice and the interaction between players.

Until #GW figures that out, we leave pillars of our community laboring to squeeze water from rocks.

Without the players audio involved in the stream, the casting duo is left without the tools to take on the tried and true caster/analyst roles.

The rumor is #gamesworkshop doesn’t want any cursing on the stream.

We see and hear cursing from players on every professional sportscast today.

We can’t hear the players and they can’t either. They are then in a position to speak only in conjecture and it’s reinforced by hyperbole.

It becomes a competition on who can make the most grandiose statement which takes away from what’s actually happening on the table.

Individually, they make good content. Their podcasts are fun, and I certainly appreciate their community contribution.

Yet when we have them on a #gamesworkshop stream it gets weird.

I believe they are limited by the arbitrary restrictions placed on them.

I like the idea of the 80/20 stream from games workshop. I can even get on board with having to sit through an AoS game.

The games workshop production is cringe, however.

What I find odd is that Adam and Paul become different humans entirely for these streams.

The balance team at #gamesworkshop have made a shift in their approach to game balance. I appreciate most of the nuance, but big swings need to made for the underwhelming bottom and overwhelming top armies.

Sometime an army just needs ti be “taken out to the woodshed”

I’ve been playing the #fallout games for my entire gaming life.

I couldn’t be happier with the show.

But armies did 🤷‍♂️

Because there’s almost no one in the low 30s and no one in the 60s! Most games feel like a coinflip these days

All things considered, we’re in a pretty good place right now.

Necrons are definitely a problem and the aeldari still feel obnoxious.

Space marines are better than what the numbers represent.

CSM and ORKZ have codexes on the way.

Tournament day! It’s a very small shark tank today with 6 regulars and 2 newer players.

Strong likelihood of a 1-2 kind of day but the community is what makes this game great.

I often hear about how “we waited years back in the old days”

Well, Games workshop wasn’t a multi-billion dollar company then.

I’m sorry that you’re willing to settle for less.

Public accountability is one of the only things that we as consumers have to wield as tools in this circumstance.

Games workshop delays their dataslate yet again.

You can effectively play Warhammer40k for the cost of the plastic itself. Wahapedia, 39k.pro, rosterizer, BattleScribe.

All freely available available apps and websites.

But you should support your friendly local gaming store as much as you can though.

Games workshop not releasing a dataslate today is sad. The only way I can understand why they haven’t is that it’s going to be a substantial game change and that would be very inconsiderate for LVO players.

My money however is not on that as their reasoning.
