Rosine's backstory in Berserk is probably the hardest I've cried at a piece of art, had to put the damn book down cos I had my head in my hands ugly crying
And it was a healing experience, sometimes that's just what you need
Anyway I'm sleeping now

It sounds dreadful but Berserk's Lost Children Arc and Gachi both give me those physical trauma sensations
Again that doesn't sound like a good thing but in a story like this it gives me a sense of relief, maybe it's because fiction makes it easier to process? Idk
Maybe it's just me but that has always seemed like an extremely hard thing to extrapolate into the basis for an entire setting, but the author really did it, and it handles that subject matter really well imo
Although maybe I'm just relating to it a little too much
Last thought before sleep - Gachiakuta is not particularly subtle about it but I still like that the setting is built around the idea of perfectly good items being discarded as trash, and then you realize "oh, it's because the main theme is abandonment trauma"
One of my lowkey favourite albums is Absinthe by Naked City, which is an extremely left-field album somewhere between noise and ambient, that's a real good one. That album is seriously imposing, reminds me of the Texas Chainsaw score in how it makes me feel
Definitely. I deeply respect harsh noise as a baseline because I'm all about music that's abrasive and almost hostile to the listener, but in practice harsh noise doesn't do much for me. The noise music closer to the experimental scene like Nurse With Wound are more up my alley
The band that Trent Reznor has cited as the inspiration to start Nine Inch Nails was Coil, a gay duo who made some very subversive and confronting music about being gay at the height of AIDS.
If Coil didn't exist, neither would Johnny Cash's Hurt. Surreal to think about.
If you try going to a few local harsh noise shows you're garunteed to see trans people both in attendance and as performers. I know there are a lot of stereotypea about the kinds of music trans people make but the actual genres with highest participation are often very underground and anarchic
Harsh noise came out of industrial music, which was born from queer performance artists and students finding new ways to be provocative.
Industrial couldn't have existed without the groundwork laid by prior electronic musicians like Wendy Carlos, composer for A Clockwork Orange
I wish I liked harsh noise music more than I do, because it (along with it's roots in electronic and industrial music) is arguably THE culturally queer genre of music if you look at the history of it
I'm wincing aaaaaaaaaaa
My tits are so sore, pray for me
I'm choosing to believe this is because they're growing extra good
Bright was too absent after the OYW, so Sayla fucked his wife

She's so much more of a danger to women than she thinks Hasan is if she thinks this is appropriate
She followed me too, fucking creep
Nah it's different cos she's good, she could never be like bad people, because of the afforemented status of being "good"
Oh look, a woman claiming to speak for all women showing no respect for boundaries, how shocking
draw your ocs with embarrassingly large tits now. who even cares anymore
And of course, your assumptions about what other women want supercedes what other women actually have to say
You don't believe in women, you only believe in your own superiority
You framed it as a woman issue and you accussed me of being self-hating cos I couldn't read your mind
If you really thought that you would be more careful, but you don't, you're just realizing you've cornered yourself, thanks for playing
I'm not even a fan of him and I think he's smoking, speak for yourself
Look it's one thing to say "I'd date an ugly man for money" but you're the one out here saying that's true for women as a class, and that's literally just misogynist gold digger rhetoric, so if I'm a traitor for pointing that out then tbh I think I know where consensus will fall on that
Okay, here's my truth as a woman - you are dumb and should shut the fuck up and you don't get to represent me with your internalized misogyny
Please do not pretend to speak for women, what you just said makes us all look fucking terrible
