Mine has to be açorda.
Mushed bread. Yes, as awful as it sounds. Eaten hot, and even with shrimps and stuff thrown in, it's ghastly. I can't even stand the smell (imagine old hot mushed stale bread....)🤮
(everything else is great, though, haha)

Enhertu is giving women more time in Scotland and around the world.
But NICE denied it in England, Wales & NI, saying we’re not “cost effective.”
We’ve lost friends waiting.
As of April 2026, the money is now there. We need to drug companies to resubmit Enhertu immediately.

As I read in a review, this Wyrdwood/Forsaken Trilogy by @rjbarker.bsky.social is complex, difficult and unpredictable. Not an easy read. But for me, this is what makes it so great - no cosy fantasy here.
And it gives us the best character turnaround since Malta in the Liveship Traders!

I praised book 2 so much that I don't have the right words for the last one... especially as anything I could say would become a major spoiler. Come for the strange world, stay for the incredible character development, and so much more

Great evening at a @robinince.bsky.social event, very much recommend!
Although your ADHD brain was really clashing with my autistic one, I kept wondering if the books didn't have an index and why you hadn't bookmarked the poems 😄
I didn't stay to chat because there were a lot of people, but thanks!
Oh I mixed the two hug emojis! I knew you could only see one, but I ended up picking up the wrong one....

"The masters of war pretend not to know that it takes only a moment to destroy, yet a lifetime is often not enough to rebuild. They turn a blind eye to the fact that billions of dollars are spent on killing and devastation, yet the resources needed for healing, education and restoration are nowhere to be found." -Pope Leo XIV

Once again, neurodivergence was used as an excuse for criminal acts 😡
"Fulford also criticised a repeated tendency of professionals to “excuse” Rudakubana’s increasingly violent and unpredictable behaviour on the basis of his suspected, and later confirmed, autism diagnosis."
Honestly, this trilogy starts calmly, waves slowly lapping by the shore and then suddenly you're in the middle of the ocean on a storm!!
I'm reading them all in one go, so fully immersed in the world.
Recommend 100%!
Ohmygawd, chapter 44 of book 3, @rjbarker.bsky.social what have you created? 😮🫣
Talk about plot twist, this is world twist, world-shattering twist! 🤯
And now I have to go and try to sleep another couple of hours??? 😭
NASA made a "Moon Joy" compilation.🌕

I should do a giveaway here too!
I'll randomly select someone who retweets this to receive a signed copy of Daughter of Crows 🙂

Oooh and afterwards you just *have to* read the Bone Ships trilogy, another amazing one!!
I started it the minute after finishing book 2 😁
That's why I waited to have all 3 at home before starting the trilogy (I've been buying them as they're published but only reading now)

Book 2 of the trilogy and ohmygawd this is SO good!
Stakes increased 100%! Hurt and pain and discoveries and sacrifice and love and new friends, + myths turned on their head, because real life is so much stranger and better than a myth

Happy Easter, Dee 🐣 xx
But all those things *are* work! They need to be done in order to have a good life, so yes, go ahead and totally feel proud of yourself 🤗

I love my VW iD.3 too 😍
I'm around 2/3 in of book 2 and I'm loving Udinny's chapters so much, @rjbarker.bsky.social !
She's the important one doing her work in the shadows and I hope so much she's got a good ending, even if I have to wait for it in book 3...
😁
4. -Even if you think you're going out of your way not to put "politics" into your work, you are. Who you are in the world, what you think of it, and what you aspire to say your work is *inherently* a social/political stance. Writers can't help but be "political" because all writing is commentary.
Scotland saw around 1,000 executions of “witches” between the 16th and 18th centuries.
