Name a Jim Carrey movie with too much Jim Carrey.

Yeah, sometimes they go down a political rabbit hole. Whether I agree or not I just would prefer to distance myself for a lot of that.

Action-packed stories seem great on paper, but if they lack heart, then nobody will care about what's going on, and you will have a story full of noise.

As much as I love fully illustrated covers, I find that getting the text to look good is always a pain. The issue is, how do you convey sci-fi/fantasy with one font?

Also, I like the look of the silver, but silver on gray is just awful to look at. 🙄

Here's the original and the revamp... **sigh**

A reminder on Small Business Saturday that books bought from indie publishers make better gifts than books bought from soulless corporations.

Always lovely to come home with a stack of the novels I have acquired for @solarisbooks.bsky.social, especially gathering a few weeks' worth. Desperately proud of these novels by @rainewilson.bsky.social @sapphomancer.bsky.social @artofelaineho.bsky.social and @ldcolter.com

I love it when an author goes wide, but ESPECIALLY @airbusch1.bsky.social. I've read two of these books, and plan to read all of them. On Apple Books, at that!

In defence of buying books you may never read If we’re going to be materialistic, it might as well be about books

“The unread pile of books shouldn’t be guilt-inducing but reassuring; proof that we have access to thoughts and stories we might love. Bookshelves show what subjects and ideas spark our curiosity. Owning a book can be as emotionally satisfying as reading it.” www.vogue.in/content/in-d...

Every now and then I'll write a paragraph and then realize I had already written it. The similarities are striking, almost word for word. It makes me wonder if it's fate 🤔

I cannot stop selling other people's books. While talking to folks at the booth today I pitched Star Crossed, The Time We Have, Tacklebox, Spire, and DIE.

At least a few folks scampered off to go find them without talking about my books 😅
