That’s because Wisconsin counts ponds and puddles as lakes and Minnesota actually has standards for our bodies of water

I’m missing this by one day! I’m so bummed it’s only a 4 day exhibit (with the bonus NASA stuff)

I can't remember if there were stairs at Glasgow (I think maybe no, but shorter ramp?), but I know there were center stage stairs at DC. It does seem like multiple options would be an easy win.

Because that is the floor of courtesy and respect.

I have to present awards on a monthly-ish basis on a much smaller scale (but still in front of an audience of 100+) and to people i mostly know but may not have ever said their full names before.

I always check pronunciations and write a phonetic guide so i get it right in the moment.

This is particularly egregious. Pretty sure finalists were asked for a pronunciation guide this year as they have in past years. It’s the most basic courtesy.

Hey @aidanis.fun you mentioned Nintendo Force on your pod. How’s the print edition?

I’m really digging Mira Grant / Seanan McGuire’s new novel Overgrowth.

It’s *very* McGuire and feels like a successor to Newsflesh. Overgrowth is a different sort of book, but, like, it tracks that the same person wrote them.

Basically it’s my gross, uncomfortable comfort read.

Are you ready to follow Nancy Whitman back through her pomegranate-gate, into the Halls of the Dead?

Hope so.

More Kate Elliott is always the answer

Psh, a sequel to Black Wolves, by Kate Elliott.

I’ll second Daniel Keys Moran. The Long Run hit me at just the right time (and google tells me that he’s apparently been serializing more Continuing Time novels so excuse me while I go look those up)

Deryni. Can’t type today

11 months ago 5 0 1 0

From Kurtz’s Deeyni series, that is. If you look at the geneologies you’ll notice a LOT of notable characters died that year

11 months ago 10 0 1 0

Otherwise I want Katherine Kurtz’s long rumored 948 book that I am quite certain isn’t going to happen.

It should be Melanie Rawn’s The Captal’s Tower to close out a trilogy I haven’t started, but I kind of want another Dragon Prince book from Rawn even though it was all fairly well closed out.
