Mayor Bowser has screwed over DC taxpayers by bringing a take it or leave deal on the RFK stadium and Commanders coming to DC. They are literally cutting healthcare to pay for this boondoggle.

As a DC voter, I’m grateful that we will have Ranked Choice Voting in our next elections. We will actually have a chance to vote out Councilmember’s that vote yes on the RFK stadium.

There's still time to include these key investments and requirements in the RFK stadium deal before we get locked into a nightmare of car traffic for 30 years

Y’all don’t do anything that makes sense. 500+ people testify, the next day hearing with the crooked commanders execs and then to vote on billions of dollars today. This is WRONG and you know it!

Working families in DC deserve a better deal when it comes to the #RFK Stadium—especially when it comes to strengthening protections for labor conditions.

Friday roundup: Commanders vote, Bengals lease, A’s stadium cost all up in the air at this time The D.C. council's verdict on the $6.6-billion-plus Washington Commanders stadium subsidy still seems to be up in the air at this time: The council now plans to vote today, giving councilmembers a who...

The DC council now plans to vote today on a Commanders stadium, giving councilmembers a whole 24 hours to read the final bill, which was released yesterday, after the council had concluded hearings about it without most members being present, as one does.

It’s because they have no spine, no courage, and want the perks that come along with snoozing up to billionaires. It’s sickening

Why are you ok with giving your hard earned tax money to a billionaire? Just answer that for me

Council Budget Office analysis on RFK Stadium deal

Council Budget Office analysis on RFK Stadium deal

The Council Budget Office's analysis of the RFK Stadium deal is out & it's even more expensive than first reported.

Total DC Taxpayer Subsidy: $4.4 billion‼️

We need a better deal. That’s a huge price to pay with not enough coming back to DC taxpayers. There's still time to get it right.

Interesting: A new economic analysis released today by the D.C. Council's Budget Office finds that mixed-use development without a stadium at RFK would eventually produce more tax annual revenue for the city than mixed-used development *with a stadium*. But...

As @homesnotstadiums.bsky.social noticed, the Commanders have finally registered their lobbyist to the D.C. Council. Team officials have been making the rounds of the council, and since they are pushing for a deal that financially benefits the team, they need to report their lobbying.

The number of first-time homebuyers is plummeting. Why that's bad news for the US economy. The housing market is a bellwether for the broader economy, and a key group of buyers has been slowly dwindling since 2010.

The data: First time home buyers in the USA are dwindling. Another reason @councilofdc.bsky.social should not be subsidizing a stadium when young familes are losing the American dream. Support @homesnotstadiums.bsky.social www.businessinsider.com/first-time-h...
