I had the opportunity to confront Pete Hegseth's bigoted spiritual mentor, Pastor Doug Wilson, and call him out on his history of hate, his misreading of the Bible, his hijacking of Jesus, and his cosplay Crusading.
It was worth it.

Wow! What could the man say after a scathing take-down like that? "Jesus wasn't a socialist" is a non-response.
I salute you for publicly and forcefully calling out Wilson as the hateful bigot he is.
A fake install screen for Microsoft Windows 95. On the left quarter of the page is a teal panel showing the old wavy Windows logo, with "Microsoft Windows 95" written up its right side. In the remaining space of the page, in black serif text on a white background, is the following text: Title: Enjoy This While It Lasts One of these days, the idea of just putting Windows on your computer will be a distant memory. Forget sharing a product code, your permission to use Windows will be stored on a centralized server where we can revoke your access at any time if we think you're not giving us enough money. Adware installed by the manufacturer is "unthinkable?" Better start thinkin' it, buddy, 'cause that's FAR from the worst thing we're shoving into your PC. We'll even try to make you use a fake digital person that plagiarizes art and books and also lies to you. Welcome to the future, motherfucker. You should probably just use Linux Mint instead.
Having lot of fun with @alice.averlong.com's Death Generator :3
A little brown dog lies on her bed on the floor of my dimly lit office. She's wearing her introspective face as she gazes downward, her nose almost touching the floor.
The new Sigma 17-40mm f/1.8 came this afternoon. I'm working from home, so I bothered my sleeping muse. I'll do proper photos soon.
Naturally I was eager to test the low light performance, as one does. Shot wide open at ISO 6400, 1/45 sec. Cropped and edited in Snapseed. #Sigma
And our governor is a most immoral man. 😬
I mean, is there really any other reason to pursue the fancy title?

I'd say absolutely not for a crypto-mining operation, and probably not for the overwhelming majority of AI.
So polluting communities that don't want data centers built in their backyard is apparently a "civil right." 🙄 #Tennessee www.wuot.org/news/2026-04...

I've heard of those! ;) In general, I feel the same. But as the only coffee drinker in the house, it always feels like overkill.
Other humans are fun to be around, in theory.
The Keurig did a poor job on this cup of coffee. #Coffee
Easter. Ilford SFX200 with an R72 filter. D23r 10 minutes
Bummer. In some corners of the internet, that would be rated Mint++++
I'm thinking it'll be a versatile lens for shooting indoor events where a flash is impractical (or not allowed), as well as low light venues like concerts.
The bokeh is quite nice, so it could also be used as a portrait lens. Mostly I envision using it as an everyday, walk-around lens.
I'll have to compare them before I decide on what to do with the 18-50. It's a good lens, and it does get me 10mm more reach than will the 17-40.
At the moment I have only one ILC body, but it's likely I'll buy another down the road. I might be glad for the spare!
I haven't used the earlier 18-35, but I have the 18-50 f/2.8, which is a decent performer. If this lens is as good as it sounds, I'll probably sell the old one. It'll be mostly redundant at that point.
After past bouts of buyer's regret, I've learned to wait on clicking the "Buy" button for big purchases. After months of deliberation, today I took the plunge on a Sigma 17-40mm F1.8 DC | Art zoom.
People gush about it being a bag of primes. The sample images look stunning, so we'll see! #Sigma

Look out, Mr. Potato Head!
A hurricane lantern sits illuminated on a table in a darkened room. The light from the lamp is reflected on the table.
My new hurricane lantern arrived this week! I really like the design, and I think the antique brass finish looks super classy.
Naturally, this inaugural lighting calls for a proper photo. #VermontLantern #FujifilmX100V
The overall brown cast in the 2nd image (the twin trunks) strikes me as appealing. I love b&w, too, but there's a warmth to that image in particular that I like.
People will turn a blind eye to mass imprisonment and murder in the name of political allegiances - even sacrificing family for the party.
That's where fascism is already taking us today. It's not overreacting to sound the alarm.

Not long ago I purchased a new release I'd anticipated since it was announced. There were so many typos and grammatical errors within the first chapter, I gave up and requested a refund on the eBook. The author is a capable scholar, too.
I hate that for the author, but I'm a reader who cares.
I guess it's marginally more sophisticated than stealing Ricky Bobby's "Dear Baby Jesus" prayer. 🤷♂️
Fight the real enemy!
I can see his disapproval. 😆
