This is high art
A "2" character key from a laptop keyboard lying on the floor. Two shoes, one left and one right, next to the key. The floor is a public transport style grey with sprinkles vinyl floor.
Two key or not two key, that is here the question.
A photo of frozen peas. Only like 20. In a bowl.
Frozen peas are severely underrated.
A photo of the core of a cauliflower, only the stem with cleanly cut away branches. On a black stone background.
I found this so oddly satisfying, I felt an urge to show it to you all.
May I introduce to you: Cauliflower Stem.
I think they missed a comma here to make me feel addressed.
No seriously, go vote today!
(no German no worries: a comma would change the meaning of this sentence from "give love and go vote" to "Jan, make love and go vote" as Schenk is the imperative of to give as well as my last name, obviously.)

What if dependabot was a real person all the time? ๐ญ๐ญ
Using my Streamdeck mainly during Teams meetings (and some home assistant stuff, too). Heard of folks who do all of their OBS Studio controls through it for streaming / recording.
Keyboard and mouse has always been just an interim solution. We're now so used to it that we can't imagine how anything could be better than that. I'm not sure it's voice for all and everything, but the keyboard will definitely vanish over time. Mouse has already, it's much more gestures these days.
Photo of an eBike display now correctly saying 39% battery with 2 out of 5 bars.
In the original pic it's off by 1. It gets fixed once the battery reaches 39%. ๐ฌ
Photo of an eBike display showing speed (0km/h), total time, trip distance and the battery. Battery says 40% with 3 of 5 bars remaining.
This triggers me. U know y?
I ordered 5 more of these IR blasters after I had one surrender to 5V when flashing. ๐คฆ
I'm currently tinkering with IR blasters to help my home automation control devices. Blindly ordered a small AliExpress device only to find out it has a Beken chip and not an ESP8266, and then realised it can be flashed with a Tasmota-like firmware. OpenBK. YAY!
Selfie of the author wearing a black shirt saying in big bold print: "I'm an orca (in a human costume)".
It's true.

So sorry for your loss, Sy. I know how much cats become family. ๐ค
Pictured instructions on how to tape (use tape to additionally fixate) your pod (Omnipod insulin pump) to your upper arm.
Funny how "to tape a pod" can mean so different things. I was immediately like "Hey, a fellow Type 1 Diabetes person! ๐".
Hah, turns out differently.

A ginger and white cat snuggled up in a perfect circle only a feline can do. On a blue blanket.
Hope y'all have a safe (and snuggly) place today to spend the transition to 2025. May 2025 be a better year than 2024. See you there!
I want to join you. I think I'll hVe issues with holding myself accountable, but I'll definitely try.
Enjoying some skating with the family today. ๐
Me having fun in a photo spot in Munich ("Magic Bavaria").

I went from iPhone to Android for the very first time. Ask me anything.
To me "Cloud" is a business model first. Renting a (virtualised) server in not-your-own-datacenter (tm), is not part of this business model. Part of the model is: Being able to scale services up and down on demand, using components (platform, software, infrastructure) as services, pay-as-you-go.
Let's agree to disagree. ๐
I'd say that's not cloud-sync. ๐ถโ๐ซ๏ธ
No doubt hardware keys are better, but my paranoia asks me to consider not to store both factors in the same 3rd party app... So splitting them up between MSFT and Google Authenticator makes it a bit less prone to an attack (not government though, but that's a different story).
