Yeah, I think that’s hard to average... I know MFY has a large inventory of fur and supplies as an example - guessing some new makers order in as needed and can’t sit on unused inventory…which could be 5 different colors for one suit and shipping costs.

Beyond that my knowledge is pretty limited

I was just told 2-3x if we’re talking a 20 year period. Not sure what the average material cost for a fursuit was though — it’s def way higher than that now.

The average cost I don’t know… i imagine it varies a ton with some characters needing so many different colours, wanting particular furs, etc

The cost of materials has gone up significantly, that I do know. Cost of labour has gone up.

We’re dealing with an extraordinary issue in 2025…tariffs and retaliatory tariffs (which is a separate issue entirely tho).

A new player in the game does have a lot more knowledge available though, true!
