Huh. I was having issues with images earlier, but the site was completely unreachable for a brief while and that one did end up being VPN problems.

Oh! And did I mention I don't own my own printer? So now I get to do the "I need to borrow your printer and I can't explain why and also I need you to not hover when I do it" thing again. Weeee.
Aaaaand I screwed one up in the process of putting a self-adhesive "laminating" sheet on it, *immediately* justifying my compulsion to make two.
...but the damaged one was of the size that ended up working best, which means I only ended up with one of those to wear to the con.

I can't really speak for anyone other than myself... but stress plus trauma response seems very plausible, and there's definitely other people struggling with it who are either masking it and attempting to push through, or quietly making themselves scarce until their head feels like less of a mess.

Just to be clear, I don’t really care if you use it responsibly on your own time… but I work in engineering where we have manufacturing going on in the same facility, and you REALLY shouldn’t be high (or drunk) in a machine shop. Or a foundry.

I’m starting to think I might be bad at “I’m out” when it comes to the chance to play with tech on someone else dime.
The third PC I agreed to work on as a “friends-and-family” tech project is ready to be returned to the owner and also I broke my “after this one, I’m out” and took on a third project.
…and I actually broke my “I’m out” twice since the last time I said it, since I’m doing a network upgrade too.
