Guess I kinda need the picture 😆
A wraith knight surrounded by a clatter of armored skeletons. I’m quite pleased with my Tomb Kings scheme for the Lich Lord’s forces. Another atep towards our #frostgrave campaign.

Many sacrifices were made by the forces of New Antioch to push against the Black Grail. In the end, both sides suffered heavy casualties. While the Hunger withdrew with fresh supplies, the Abyssian forces held the wagons.
Steel and claw clashed as the Hoarfrost Anointed tried to protect their wagons’ supplies.

The wagons sat in the snow like lambs as Mother’s children stalked forward. Thoughts of feasting were broken when a familiar scent caught her attention: Sheba’s Snowstorm. Twice now they had crossed paths with these holy warriors. It would seem that the third time was the charm. #TrenchCrusade
Starting to get ready for our group’s #frostgrave campaign in the summer. I got myself some armored skeletons ready to protect the Lich Lord.

Love the ogres. May I ask where the middle woman model is from? She looks fantastic!
Having discovered the route of the Hoarfrost Horde’s caravan, the warbands risked a shortcut through a blizzard to ambush it. The whiteout caused the Pilgrims to cross paths with the Great Hunger in a blasted village.

Today was great for some hobby progress. I recently stocked up on several #miniatures, including the cultist boxes from #northstarfigs. I decided to make two whole batches of cultist nooks: fantasy and sci-fi/modern. Today I finished #kitbashing my sci-fi cultists.

Noooo, I just spent my hobby funds for the month. 😭 Guess I’ll wait till April. These look great! Especially the power armor minis. So much potential for kitbashing.

Thank you ☺️
This was quite the challenge for me. I’ve been painting robots and mostly armored figures. It took a while to get the sickly flesh just right. So much research of the different stages of decay.
Because I couldn’t fit them above, here’s the rest.
It’s been a hot minute, but I finally completed my #blackgrail warband for our local #trenchcrusade campaign. The models come from the Nighstalkers faction in #kingsofwar. I absolutely love these disgusting guys, and I hope you will too.

When we engage in dehumanizing language and behavior it’s easy to see it as an ‘us versus them’. It’s easy to forget the humanity of strangers.
I hurt today for the tax funded murder of a man who could have been my own loved one, but who WAS absolutely someone’s loved one.
He is making ALL the fucking points.

Whoops, forgot to include some rather important tags.

Amid the chaos, a ranger loosed an arrow through gas and snow, striking Vaal Hazak’s withered heart. The Corpse Wyrm screamed, then collapsed as the last of its necrotic light was snuffed out. Silence fell. Laden with spoils, the warbands withdrew. Their heroics shall be told in awe and fear.
Vaal Hazak rose, exhaling a caustic cloud that withered flesh and cracked stone. Its hollow eyes blazed with hate. Yet the intruders fought on. Barbarians and spells united to shatter a third crystal, and the Corpse Wyrm faltered beneath their defiance.
Buried beneath a millennium of snow, the ruins of a tower hid Vaal Hazak’s lair. Its skeletal coils wrapped around the stone. Four crystals pulsed with baleful light. As the warbands clashed with wraiths and shattered the crystals, undead swarmed forth. The Corpse Wyrm began to stir.
Two warbands, an Elementalist and an Enchanter, braved the ruins of Felstad to test the legend of Vaal Hazak, the undying Corpse Wyrm whose shattered soul lingered in hidden crystals. As allies drew off the undead, they descended into the heart of the frozen city.
