A screenshot of a kitchen through a vr headset. Objects contained in green bounding boxes with AI text descriptions attached.
Testing out the new camera-api samples for the Quest 3 today with decent results in the kitchen. Not bad for a model running on the headset!
The ARCHE Seminar Series will host Professor Nick Ashton of the #BritishMuseum, "Fire, Society and Culture: New evidence from 400,000 year old sites in the UK", Thursday 3rd April, Brisbane South (Nathan Campus).
I think the article missed the mark on describing the VR market as fragmented. PCVR users seem to largely be using the Meta Quest series based on steam hardware surveys. While the Quests work for PCVR I don't think this will change. The fact that there are two separate stores doesn't really matter.

Spent the day wandering between the Mozu Kofun in Sakai City. Amazing monumental tombs, or as my partner described them, big piles of dirt...
I was asked about Dutton’s remarks comparing overseas students with boat arrivals. I couldnt hold back.
Dangerous wildlife and beautiful scenery doing a rock art survey last year in the NT.
Always plenty of wildlife, sometimes welcome, sometimes not! I think the birds have generally been the most photogenic and least problematic.
