There were more voters who didn’t vote in ‘24 than there were those who voted for Trump.

Remember: You don’t have to waste your time or breath on MAGA cult members. They are lost. Focus on the apathetic.

We can’t clean up Washington without restoring integrity to the Supreme Court.

That’s why I believe we should expand the Supreme Court to 13 justices. And then, institute term limits.

Because an appointment to the Supreme Court shouldn’t mean a lifetime lack of accountability.

Voting NO on the DHS funding bill is the bare minimum.

Backing Kristi Noem’s impeachment is the bare minimum.

Holding law-breaking ICE agents legally accountable is the bare minimum.

ICE is beyond reform. Abolish it.

I am done with this minority-rule-protecting, designed-to-balance slave-states-voting-power system that all but guarantees minority rule.

Government exists to secure inalienable rights and derives its power from the consent of the governed.

It is the right of the people to abolish it. #AbolishICE

Infographic titled “2025 Billionaire Gains vs. Grocery Spending.” On the left, a large gold square shows that the top 100 richest Americans gained $995 billion in wealth in 2025, about $7,595 per U.S. household, representing wealth gains for just 100 individuals. On the right, a slightly smaller green square shows total U.S. grocery spending of $775 billion, about $5,916 per household, covering roughly 131 million households. A callout at the bottom reads “The Scale of Inequality,” noting that billionaire wealth gains exceeded national grocery spending by $220 billion. Sources listed: Bloomberg Billionaire Index and Bureau of Labor Statistics.

For the second year in a row, the wealth gains for the 100 richest Americans exceeded what ALL American households spent on groceries combined.

~$995B for billionaires vs ~$775B in total grocery spending.

We have an oligarchy and inequality problem masquerading as an affordability crisis.

(these are all starts to answers in the same thread)

“Short answer: this is gold.”
“Yes. That’s exactly the right mental model…”
"You're not wrong."
“That’s the cleanest framing you’ve given yet…”
“Exactly..."
“That’s the most rational reason you’ve given yet…”

Medicare for All would save $450B a year.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

You know you've been conditioned to live in a black & white paradigm when you have no ability to distinguish between

-Marxism
-Communism
-Socialism
-Democratic Socialism

If all those words scream in your brain BAD, but you can't describe their differences, you've been conditioned to feel this way

They were supposed to be deporting “gang members” and “criminals.”

So far, they have kidnapped people working their day jobs and folks lawfully showing up for their immigration court appearances…

It was always a lie.

The biggest danger of Harvard entering an agreeement will not be reputational

(Sure, you can worry about that)

But it will be in giving a green light to any future government to coerce private institutions of higher learning via financial threats, however unlawful

Happy Hitler Shoots Himself In The Head day to all who celebrate. The 80th anniversary. May his ignominious end, with his body doused in petrol and burned by his last remaining loyalists, be a model for all tyrants.

Republicans in Congress are hoping you won’t pay attention to them for the next 36 hours. YouTube video by Senator Elizabeth Warren

Republicans in Congress are hoping you won’t pay attention to them for the next 36 hours.

Why? Because they're pushing through their unpopular plan that gives tax handouts to billionaires and billionaire corporations and leaves everyone else in the dirt.

Having already spent over $7M backing the right-wing candidate in Wisconsin's Supreme Court election, Elon Musk's Super PAC is now offering Wisconsin voters $100 each to sign its petition against "activist judges."

This is what a broken campaign finance system looks like.

so, see how bernie is passing the torch to the younger generation? see how he's creating space for AOC by using his name, then allowing her to lead? see how SOME older people act like caring elders, and others act like half-dead, out-of-touch narcissistic control freaks?

be more like bernie.

The United States of America is the only major country on earth that does not guarantee health care as a human right.

The result: We rank dead last among wealthy nations in life expectancy.

We must end that international embarrassment.

Yes. We need Medicare for All.

813 US billionaires held a record $6.72 trillion in wealth at the end of 2024.

The bottom 50% of Americans held roughly $3.9 trillion in wealth.

When 813 people control more wealth than half a country’s population, we have a very serious problem.

Matt Doyle with a really nice piece urging people to support their local soccer news outlets. He’s 100% spot-on.

Sounders fans, for us that’s largely Sounder at Heart. Jeremiah took a brave leap and went for it, and I think we can and should subscribe. I do and I never regret it.
