Network Effect (Murderbot Diaries)
i fucking love this anxious robot so much it makes me want to cry. this book was so good. it plays with the premise and perspective so well. the extra length allows such a good build up of the drama and the mystery it's SO GOOD
their fruit has putrified
forbidden once and bound to die
the thread of life lies severed
on the brink of paradise
Horizontal illustration of a giant whale-like skeleton monster floating above a wasteland. There is nebula-esque smoke coming from it's jaws. There are two monster riders called The Collectors in the right corner and silouettes ruins in the background on the horizon, some of them look like rib cages or destroyed temples. In the center flows a red river. The whole artwork has red tones but the Abysmal Famine creature is lit up from above and has cold blue tones.

"They float through the skies of the vast plains in Hell, feasting endlessly on the wandering souls and some say they have even took a few from actual living beings. Not even demons are safe!"
New Hell Employee type I had tons of fun with π

Well, well, it's #portfolioday already? I just got back home from a trip, so I'm out of the loop. However, if you like fantastical landscapes, then I got some for you! I'm mostly working for MTG and D&D these days.

Hello, I'm an illustrator from the UK, i like sci-fi and big landscapes. Here are some of my latest works.
Today is my birthday! And the best gift you could give me is to share my artwork π
The Tombs of Atuan
enjoyed this one more than wizard of Earthsea, it felt more solid in how it was placed in the world, being built on the foundations of the previous book. you could feel more of the history. bleak and dark but ends hopeful and in the light in a way that felt very real.

She's done! And with extra spikes πΊπΊπΊ
Digital illustration of an elf with pale green skin, holding a spear, wearing a golden, giant crown, and gold jewelry. He's also sitting on the back of a White's Tree Frog.
Digital illustration of a half man, half orchid praying-mantis hybrid. The creature has an upper torso of a human in a praying gesture, with a teal crown floating on his head, and a teal sword impaled through his chest and out his back. His mantis half is doing the same gesture, and its wings are splayed open. The character's skin is a pale pink with rosy pink hair and mantis legs, but with teal green embellishments; his upper torso has green tattoos, and his mantis body is adorned in ornate patterns, and his wings are a vibrant teal and turquoise color.
Digital illustration of three fairy men jamming to music on some vines. The fairy on the right has green skin and pink hair, donning a flower crown while playing a flute. The fairy on the left has green skin, blonde hair and beard wearing a pink flower as a hat while he's playing a three stringed instrument. In the middle of the illustration is a pink skinned fairy with wings bigger than the other two's, and he is dancing in the air. There are giant flowers in the background.

Worldbuilding for Skybox.
A short witch sits atop a floating cannon ball, she's wearing a frilly black dress witha button up white shirt and a cravat. She has a leather corset and a worker's apron. Her dark hair is long and tied in braids, each with its ending set on fire like a wick. She's holding a smoking pipe (which she uses to cast her spells) Behind her are four knights with cannons for heads wielding flintlock rifles.
[OC] Bernhadetta, the Gunpowder Witch ~ π₯π£π§Ή
In trying to replicate the power of dragon's fire she discovered black powder. Harnessing that power this witch became feared in any battlefield, always followed by her artillery-men.

A new character for my Unnamed Knight Project.
the nicest thing you can wish upon an artist in 2026 is that their work gains a small but dedicated cult following of kind hearted and politically shrewd weirdos & sickos that keep the fire going. the meanest thing you can wish upon an artist in 2026 is that their work gains a large online fandom
the erasure of thought given form
a new form emerges, unburdened by energy
There is a recurrent fantasy where I get to become a sort of sentient nothingness and the memory everyone or everything had of me vanishes without trace.
Just a thing that exists outside of time and perception with the remembrance of a life that by all accounts never happened.
Goblin ladz
Happy Chappies
A Wizard of Earthsea
evocative but still very firmly grounded and humble. lots of proper nouns of places and things which are barely expanded upon, which always bugs me in fantasy stories but not so many here that I was notably annoyed by them
a sketchy skull-faced figure with long hair, blue and black tones on white
digital ghost bedtime sketch
Marathon Fanart, process video is up as well!
a forest, twice broken
Kepno!
Finished low poly VGen commission for @bazukx.bsky.social
The author's brazen fetish, presented with such hedonistic flair and and open pride it makes you feel a little embarassed for needing to hide your own passions behind self-effacing jokes in order to preserve a sense of safe, pseudo-ironic detachment

I LOVE THE TASTE OF IRON
You're mine and mine alone
I caught you fair and square
Gunbuster
i appreciate the story it was trying to tell about isolation due to time distortion after FTL travel but i don't think it really pulled it off effectively. such an 80s vision of the future. so many funny/charming anachronistic elements, like magnetic tapes, old phones and 80s fashion
Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress
the premise is pretty cool, and it has some interesting ideas but it's mid at best, and kinda boring for most of the run time. probably wouldn't have finished it if it were more than 12 episodes
Liveship Traders book three: Ship of Destiny
so many well written characters and story threads woven across this trilogy and they're all, apart from a few bits which felt rushed or unnecessary, tied up nice and neat and satisfying in a way that was well built up to and well earned. good books.
FLCL
weird and wonderful coming of age story. fantastic animation, great music, funny in its absurdity, and left me kinda emotional by the end of it. confusing and difficult to follow at times but it does a great job of evoking a very specific set of feelings. lots of cool robots too
ENA Dream BBQ
beautiful piece of abstract art. you can tell there was so much care and effort put into everything. completely unpredictable, had absolutely no idea what was going on. 10/10
