Matching magic 🚨 We're matching the next 250!! Please pay attention to survival funds. Food is scarce, prices are increasing, and the blockade is increasingly strangling Gaza.
Support six families & a camp of fifteen more—around a hundred Palestinians, yall—by clicking “weekly” on a coffee!
The image shows the cover of the collection Love You, Miss You, Goodbye Forever by Timothy Boudreau: a road map and a blue-gray car with the driver-side door open. A man is tan trousers and a light beige short-sleeve shirt is standing nearby.

Tweet from JK Rowling: Today's ruling by the IOC means a welcome return to fair sport for women and girls, but I'll never forget the scandal of Paris 2024, when people who consider themselves supremely virtuous and progressive publicly cheered on men punching women.
Been thinking about it since I saw JK Rowling posted this yesterday about the IOC's new policy, calling Imane Khelif a man.
Imane Khelif was born female. She was raised as a girl. Her original birth certificate says female. She's always been a woman.
But sure. "Men punching women."
A black T-shirt with white letters: SmokeLong flashing the world since 2003 With a small smokelong logo on the bottom right (a detail I particularly love.) Hung across a library cart of books organized in no particular way.
Packing this cutie for a trip to visit my MIL in Florida! 😂
Thanks so much to @christopherallen.bsky.social @helenrye.bsky.social @smokelong.bsky.social for the fantastic gift at AWP!! I could not love this shirt more & think every flash writer needs one. ❤️

Blue sky background with origami birds flying in formation. text in the old twitter logo font: "flash in the feed". SLQ logo.
It's time for another #FlashInTheFeed. Let's fill our dumpster-fire social media feeds with art for the next three days. Share a great flash narrative by a writer you don't know with this hashtag and we'll give away a copy of Shasta Grant's debut novel, When We Were Feral, to seven people at random.
Wow hahaha. Imagine being so arrogant that you decide your own deficiency is the norm and the entire rest of the human race is just lying about possessing critical thought.
The image shows the cover of issue 91 of SmokeLong Quarterly. At the center there is a woman in a white dress bathed in the light of doorway in an otherwise dark room. The text on the page is SmokeLong Quarterly and the contributors of the issue.
It's here! Issue Ninety-One of SmokeLong. Thank you to everyone who helped get this out in the world. www.smokelong.com/issue-ninety...
Picture of a person standing in blinding light of a doorway into a dark and dirty room. The figure is too washed out with the light to see detail but is swathed in white gauzy fabric which they are holding in at the waist. The light illuminates dust in the air in lines radiating from the door. The image is colour but appears almost sepia because of the light contrast. Truth
Obsessed with this
The term for that is White supremacy and any coverage of Reform that does not include that term is complicit in whitewashing White supremacy. Sometimes things really are that simple.

A banner featuring a logo on the side with a painted anemone poppy and the handwriting-style text that says "Heal Minds Gaza" in a green circle. Next to it reads: "Heal Minds Gaza is a new initiative that will support children’s healing through therapeutic activities for self-esteem, social skills, and community-building. Support the first project for children who were detained in occupation prisons." The text is written on notebook paper cut in a circle. The banner is decorated with crayon sketches of hearts, stars, and squiggles in different colors.
Have you heard? This is for the KIDS!
Heal Minds Gaza will run workshops for children who were detained in occupation prisons: supporting their healing, confidence, & sense of community.
We have just WEEKS left to f/und it. Chip in: chuffed.org/project/hmg
Today I discovered that Dear Prudence is in fact not a Siouxsie and the Banshees song so that’s my learning for Thursday

We obtained the Dilley detention center’s 911 call logs.
Among them are pleas for help for toddlers having trouble breathing, a pregnant woman who passed out and an elementary-school-aged girl having seizures.
We don’t have a table at the book fair, this year, we just have ourselves and maybe some t-shirts. Perhaps we’ll cover ourselves with fairy lights instead, who can say.
The image shows an otter with a unicorn horn and Christopher Allen's "where to find me" info for AWP: the panel "Lightning Strikes Twice" on Saturday at 1:45pm and the SmokeLong reading on Thursday evening at Old Major.
Thank you, Helen Rye, for making a graphic for me. She'll also be leading me around at AWP! Watch for us. If you see us wandering aimlessly around the bookfair, stop us and say hi!
We'd love to see you! We're getting there at around 4:30 to hang out, eat and drink before the reading, so even if you have obligations later, please stop by and say hello!

Well this is the worst non-violent thing I’ve ever seen
