oh rad! i’ve actually been searching my local secondhand electronics stores for a proper tape recorder recently so i can record my shitty guitar covers in a way that preserves their grittiness :-) plus it’s nice to have a physical copy of things lol

i’m not sure if that makes sense or is helpful at all, but it’s just my perspective on things ;; our situations are very different, but as someone who’s also lost someone i care a lot about, i know how isolating it is, and i want you to know that im here for you in whatever way i can be 💜 /gen

but i’ve been slowly trying to accept that i can’t always be self-reliant and that the people who love me don’t want me to feel like i have to be alone in this. it’s really uncomfortable a lot of the time, but i know that the pain isnt going to lessen if i try to muscle my way through it by myself

changing the pattern you’ve always been in is really difficult, and honestly i think a lot of it is having to learn to allow yourself to be taken care of and letting yourself take up space—the latter is especially hard for me, since i often feel like i “should” be able to handle things on my own

that’s really understandable, i’m generally the same way so it feels like i’m not “allowed” to be any other way. if that makes sense. but i’ve found that the more i keep forcing myself to deal with it alone, the worse i feel

we’re here for you always, if you’re willing to share then we’re willing to listen /gen sure, it’s a heavy topic, but it’s also a heavy thing to feel and you shouldn’t have to bear that weight alone <3 i love you so dearly, if i can support you in any way please let me know
