Very good book.

This is a good book. Really insightful.
Relatedly, the ACLU and 18 attorneys general are suing over yesterday's executive order to end birthright citizenship for American children of undocumented migrants.
Guns are the leading cause of death for kids under 17. We heard, "The Constitution has tied our hands. Nothing we can do." But if you're a citizen by birth, suddenly the Constitution is no obstacle. Copy that.

I didn't truly understand gaslighting until I got Amazon Alexa.
We watched Nosferatu tonight. Overall positive (and thoroughly repulsed) impressions. As others have said, great cinematography, especially the tribute to the 1922 film's use of shadows to evoke dread. Some of the dialog delivery was tough for me (Dafoe), but I'm no artist

"No one wants to work for the government/military" is not proof of privilege, but it's an indicator
The image is a graph titled "Reported paralytic polio cases and deaths, United States, 1910 to 2019," from Our World in Data. It shows the annual number of polio cases (in red) and deaths (in green). A sharp decline in both cases and deaths occurs after the introduction of the polio vaccine in 1957, which is marked with an arrow labeled "Vaccine introduced in 1957." The graph illustrates the dramatic impact of vaccination on reducing polio cases and fatalities over time.
Vaccines stopped polio.

If you were mad a CEO was killed, but apathetic to thousands of children killed annually by guns, you're a hypocrite.
2,000+ children are killed by guns every year in the United States. Responses are 'Constitution,' 'bad apple,' 'mental health,' or silence. One CEO is killed and suddenly it's a problem.
