Some great announcements made today to boost the clean energy transition, help lower energy bills, and solidify our energy security for the long-term.

"The Government’s housing target can be met twice over without touching any green spaces, by building on brownfield sites, renovating empty and dilapidated homes and repurposing office space no longer needed because of home working."
No! It! Can't!
Also remember mandy from season 1?
Why do these all sound like gay slurs
And all of this before i even mention the record-breaking wind power day this week!
On the international stage, the coming weeks and months are uncertain, but Labour’s approach is being vindicated for a future that prioritises electrification and cleaner cheaper home-grown energy. 🌄

But in response to the volatile international picture, this is just one of a series of measures introduced in the past week to improve energy security, tackle cost of living, and power our industrial base for green growth. Here are 5 measures the gov has taken in the last week!
In a normal week, the Future Homes Standard launch would be a huge announcement in and of itself. This is a Lab Gov ensuring future housing stock come with solar panels and heat pumps as standard, helping tackle energy bills and bolstering our national energy security. 🧵
This is not an energy crisis, its an oil and gas crisis.
Making the case here for a future of electrification and renewables... and not forgetting nuclear!
Last week we visited a flood defence scheme in Newport, where the Welsh government invested in making businesses and community spaces safer and more secure.
Our @alexchitty.bsky.social explains below why these investments into our climate resilience are so important 👇️
The Bourne Identity (2002) / The Hidalgo Legacy (2026)
Having failed to secure the Snickers or M&Ms that were my original objectives, sources tell the Washington Post I will now be refocusing all energy on extracating my hand from where it is stuck inside the vending machine and restoring said machine to the working order it was in prior to my arrival.
I would say sometimes is less frequent than occasional?
How about regularly?
Want to know what the Land Use Framework is and why it matters but only have 70 seconds spare this afternoon?
Not to worry! @alexmackaness.bsky.social has you covered.
The Land Use Framework (out later today) is about giving farmers "the tools, investment and certainty they need to shape the future of our countryside and the communities that depend on it."
Great op-ed here from @joemorrismp.bsky.social on keeping our rural communities resilient and future-facing.
VICTORY! Government to open up the Land Registry - bringing to an end a thousand years of secrecy shrouding who owns England.
I’ve been campaigning for this for ten years: the new Land Use Framework, published later today, makes it government policy. 1/

Can this be a solution?
Today's Fingleton Review response is an important step forward in building critical infrastructure. There is no bigger threat to our natural environment than climate change, and unlocking clean homegrown energy is good for people and planet.

True devolution requires funding, powers... and political support. Great blog here on what cllrs who are leading the way on local improvements need from central government.
Great piece on the LCEF blog by @rezinachowdhury.bsky.social on the need for councillors to get far greater political cover from the Government when delivering clean air projects locally.
The one about the angry wine right?
These men are all in their mid-twenties but look like theyre new fathers in their early 40s
This is total nonsense and has no regard for any actual policy content it’s just a vibe. Meanwhile I’m yet to see a single decarbonisation policy from Polanski that isn’t wealth taxes but apparently that’s acceptable?
My issue with it was i kept feeling there was a really amazing show just under the surface that kept getting covered bt bonkers set-pieces.
Likewise, three great main characters who i wanted to know more but never got the chance to.
Was still a fun enjoyable watch tho
I also think Pete from big brother made a huge contribution to this for the millenials.
