A tiny preview into my next #Deduesdays2026 fic focusing on the prompt “alternate classes”

I know it's recently summer and pretty hot outside but I came up with this idea. Wanted to keep it as a rough lineart artwork but I wanted to finish it 💙🌫❄️ I love Dedue so much.

I missed last week's theme, and wound up pulling a double to combine Talents and Identity. What better way to celebrate Dedue's culture than by cooking up some delicious Duscur bear steaks for his beloved Blue Lions?

Week 2: Talents (Gardening)

The original idea I had for this was funnier, but it's kinda nice to see Dedue calmly pruning a bonsai tree (which is on a shelf for ergonomics lol).

Sylvain watches it to laugh at bad costumes and opening ceremony stuff. Dedue is interested in some of the sports and the opening ceremony for the arts!

sylvain wants to be and pretends he's mostly disinterested but in actuality a really good sports narrative with epic brass music underneath sincerely tugs at his heartstrings. dedue has issues with the corruption of it all but deeply respects and appreciates the shows of athleticism*
