One side obsession from my research into the 1920s is the extensive network of ELECTRIC trains that used to connect cities and towns across the central Midwest called the Interurban. We had this more than a hundred years ago. The things we had and the things we lost.

Me too. But it was nice to able to experience a little time there and it definitely worked for their students. I hope there are still comparable institutions for people who thrive in that type of environment

I was part of the 5 college consortium up there and took a few amazing art history courses with hamp college professors. Big loss for the area and higher education at large
