#hobbystreak day 67: A bit of hodge podge. Tried some different effects on the Jade Falcon cockpit glass...neither really worked. Then based the cockpit glass on the Panther and Wasp. Trying a new basing material on my test model to see how it works, since GW no longer makes what I used to use...

Action Figure Pic of the Day: "Hero Worship"
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: More of Sun Wukong's Monkey Army. This time the orangish-brown on that's been dubbed 'Cutthroat' by a co-worker...mostly due to the violent poses he ends up in. With no trigger fingers, guns are hit or miss...but that rifle works.
#hobbystreak day 66: Drybrush on the new campaign force, then some touch-ups and new wash on them as there was suddenly bare metal showing through. Then some touch-ups on the Wasp and Panther.
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Here some random pictures of Monkey Army of Sun WuKong that my co-worker has named Eugene Winston, or EW. They don't have names, so it's as good as any. I love that they're 1/12 scale and most accessories fit them.
#hobbystreak day 64: RPG day, but got the time to basecoat my next Aces campaign force.
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Cowboy Deadpool. Not sure why he got a figure, but he's got some great accessories. 2 Six-guns, the spinning pistol effect, even extra hands. He's actually quite cool. But I plan on mostly 'borrowing' his accessories for other figures.
#hobbystreak Day 63: Priming my next batch of models. Please excuse the Ion Sparrow, one of his wings fell off when I touched it. I'm gonna try and get that before I go to bed. Plus decided to convert the folded wing model of the Urbie LAM as well.
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Brown suit Wolverine from Deadpool & Wolverine. Good figure, some quibbles. Good: it comes with extra hands and the cowl down and extra neck for the uncowled head. Bad: d they're both right hands and it doesn't come with the actual uncowled head
#hobbystreak day 62: Too hot to paint, so decided to convert another Suburban Mech. Felt like the Urbie-LAM (cursed as it is) would be good for a jumping one. So chopped the arm off another K2 Catapult and replaced the autocannon. It's a little off, since the wing is in the way...but it works!
No Gnew is good Gnews with Gary Gnu
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Here's the other three of Sun WuKong's monkey army. Again, I love these guys. The one on the right has been named Eugene Winston (EW) by a co-worker, and I'm going with that...
It's lunchtime! (I do wish he'd start with the fruit...)
#hobbystreak day 61: Brown wash on the Panther and Wasp. Plus some cockpit and surrounding area touch-ups on the Jade Falcons.
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: SunWuKong's Monkey Army! I love these guys! Characterful, cool weapons, hands, heads (extra heads for early order), and other accessories! I tried having the bow monkey hold an arrow...but the 'string' slipped and fired it!
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: This is case 1 and 2 why I should not be left unattended with action figures. Had the extra gear from my 2nd Budo hanging around...with Chester staring at me from the shelf and there was only one thing (well two things, I guess) to do.
Action Figure Pic(s) of the day: Trying out different heads on the female Crimson Guard. Kimberly's head doesn't, technically, fit, but her hair keeps it in place. Both Agent Helix's and Retro Cover Girl's heads both fit. I do like the look with the bow as well...
#HobbyStreak day 58: Aces Jade Falcons OpFor done aside from bases. Then back to my forces minis. The Wasp is a 'just in case' for my current campaign, and in my force for my next. The Panther is a replacement for the ill-fated Sentinel from this current campaign. #battletech
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Retro Crimson Guard, female version. Another cool retro from Classified. I dig this one quite a bit...but i've got a only one minor quibble. The sheath doesn't fit on the belt much at all. The male one worked overall, occasionally it would fall off.
#HobbyStreak Day 57: Finished my 3 metal mechs for my 2nd Scouring Sands playthrough. I don't miss metal minis at all.
#battletech
#HobbyStreak day 56: Partially done all assembly. I don't miss multi-part lower bodies like they have. Had to tear apart the Jade Phoenix (1st pic) as the legs/feet are specific and there's no easy way to tell. The Hierofalcon and Ion Sparrow are going together a bit easier.
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: My sister got me this for Easter but was out of town and just gave it to me. She's a good figure, some guns, extra hands, and a 'disguise' head to mimic her shapeshifting. I'll have to see what other heads fit on her (and vice versa)
Good stuff! I need to get a printer so I can print out some pilot cards for my runthrough.
I just chose some asenine ilClan era mechs that looked cool and fun. Ended up with the Jade Phoenix A, Hierofalcon B, and Ion Sparrow A.
#HobbyStreak Day 55: On to the mechs. These are for my next playthrough of Scouring Sands with a buddy who has never played before. Been a minute since I worked with metal, but the casts were pretty good, minimal shift. Only got the first two cleaned tonight.
Action Figure Pic of the Day: Here's my whole G.I. Joe Airborne assault force. Rip Cord and a HALO jumper. Airborne, Crazy Legs, Wolf Spider, and Hit & Run. Starduster, Snake Eyes, Breaker, and two Steel Corps troopers. Plus Wild Bill and Glenda in the Dragonfly
#HobbyStreak day 54: Figured some assembly would be a good change of pace. Have a mix of 3d prints and Ironwind Metals. Some Maxims and Badgers, along with a Crockett, for my normal force. Also three much newer mechs for my 2nd Scouring Sands playthrough with a buddy.
