I'll do it again soon!!

I used to use Paint.NET a lot but haven't in probably .... 10 years. I didn't realize it was once open source.
I'd just try it on an old computer, or dual-boot, and give it a try. See what works for you and what doesn't. A LOT of stuff is working very well these days, although specifically for art/audio work a fair amount is still Windows-only.
I tried 2 or 3 and none worked how I wanted. I'll take a look at this one!
I've tried a few of these (Steam + Proton, Wine, Bottles) without much success. I'll give this one a shot, though!
i wrote a tiny chat app for my streams (just displays the chat on screen). it's very simple but worked pretty well! github.com/NoelFB/ObsChat
I really hope so!
I've been maining Linux for like 3ish years and I haven't had a windows install now in over a year or so, and genuinely the only thing I miss is Clip Studio. nothing else quite works as nicely for me :(
yeah, sure! Here it is: github.com/NoelFB/ObsChat
it's kinda built just for me but it should be fairly easy to use. I use a custom font + credentials file and run it like this:
dotnet run -- -c User/Credentials.txt -f User/snuggle.ttf -s 64
I'll try to start earlier next time!!
I'm live! for a few hours!
OK I'm gonna stream some gamedev in about an hour from now (2:30pm PST). I haven't streamed in forever! Gonna be reworking an enemy I don't like.

same!! I really enjoy it but it's always hard to get started.
some of them are but they're quite old at this point!

thinking about.... maybe streaming some gamedev tomorrow.... posting this to make myself actually do it.
haha thanks, no Steam page up yet but hopefully soon...
It was a bug I didn't notice until after posting, haha. Various things like water, slime, etc, all use their own system to render, and I was only registering "core" systems on the title screen and didn't realize that would affect waterfalls lol
i'm sure there's super good reasons for all this but I don't understand the front porch and helicopters when they've got like 5 boats right there
genuine question - why do they lift the crew via helicopter instead of just on all the boats the have around that everyone came on?
moon ghosts gotta be super lonely. like how long have they been waiting up there for someone to come by

Yeah, Celeste does this (and also has a separate one for Japanese). although it's not that cool looking imo....
One guess I've seen online is it coincides with the Chinese new year in February, so there's a huge spike in players who play 99.9% on Windows.
Dunno how realistic that is but it kinda fits.
I feel like there will be some correction given this graph/data/spike, but it's still pretty Neat
Graph of English speaking Linux users on Steam, over time, spiking last month at 11.28%
apparently Linux hit 11% for English speakers on Steam last month. That's pretty cool, imo! (from www.gamingonlinux.com/steam-tracke...)
Thanks Sandy! yeah it's still sloooowly coming together :) Hoping it wrap it up this year, but we'll see!
Excited for Mina, the demo was super fun!
yeah, I get away with a lot because it's pixel art, honestly. Very little loading and resources required.
I agree! I'll probably mess with that later.
Yeah, we actually started with that... but then we wanted to be able to have animated backgrounds and decided to run custom game rooms.... then after that I was like, why not just load the actual rooms.... haha
Thanks! it's a game my brother @liamberry.ca and I are working on called City of None! cityofnone.com
