On the surface, it seems like the movie is not taking itself too seriously, but by the end you'll realize that it makes the hits land harder because of that.
Not groundbreaking or anything, but is very clever in its use of fictional tropes.
8.5/10, highly recommend, will definitely watch again.
Sam Rockwell, playing himself as he always does, is the center-point in this story that does a great job with vignettes that culminates the plot that is quite literally laid out in the first ten minutes of the movie.
