Sorry to post this for those who abhor seeing this kind of news about wildlife. But while we are collectively agonizing over the state of our nation, the state of our planet is probably the more urgent news.

Before they were arrested- Vets are demanding an end to the war on Iran at the Cannon Building in Washington, D.C.
This is a war based on lies
Me in my fifth real gardening year here. Knowledge accumulates slowly. Remember that plants exist not for us alone, but for all the creatures that share the earth with us. Plant enough and enough variety that you can let the bugs have some. Even organic controls like neem kill the beneficials too.
This makes me so happy. I hope they all outlast us.
Cannon Beach, Oregon
The richest 10% of Americans own roughly 87% of stocks.
The richest 1% alone own roughly half of all stocks.
It's worth pointing out once again that the stock market is not the economy.
France passed a law requiring solar panels on every parking lot with more than 80 spaces.
Equals 10 nuclear reactors
Reduces heat island, shades cars
The US -- 800 million parking spaces. Most of them are uncovered asphalt sitting in direct sunlight.
Why aren't we doing this?
Hey, so ICE is still kidnapping and disappearing people in the United States.
Just because they got quieter about it doesn't make it okay.
Abolish ICE. Chinga la Migra.
ICE activity in Chicagoland has been on the rise with the temperature the last few weeks. These incidents don't have the spectacle that characterized Greg Bovino and Border Patrol's raids in the fall, but people are still being abducted by federal agents across the city and suburbs.
Shouldn’t someone just inform her how absolutely stupid she sounds every time she opens her mouth?

We're throwing innocent people in concentration camps and letting them die, including children.
Our government, in our names, with our money.
The Once and Future War (that is currently an international relations crisis and maybe a U.S. blockade).
In the last year, ICE has deported nearly half a million people. Killed dozens. Disappeared tens of thousands. And it's only the beginning.
Unless we stop it.
We are deciding right now if we are to be a nation of concentration camps and ethnic cleansing. And there is much citizens can do!
Fund local papers and break up all the big corporate media giants.
Imagine being able to write about any topic and you chose to glorify how the wife of a billionaire taught all the rich boys how to stop feeling any sense of guilt for perpetuating a system that starves most people and just roll around in their money for fun.
Right? Pope might even be a believer in turning the other cheek. Shocking!
A record to be proud of.
No false solutions.
In the new version they all die in a flood…or alternatively famine when crops fail.
Not bad for a 79 year old..unfortunately.
The warehousing of human beings is a hallmark of authoritarian regimes.
Trump’s regime is actively scouting, purchasing, and planning to convert 23 warehouses nationwide into new detention and processing facilities. This would massively expand ICE’s capacity for detentions.
It’s not looking good…
"Over the course of March, the nation got more electricity from renewables than it did from natural gas, which is typically the single-largest source of energy on the U.S. grid."
Trump team: "Trump team dismisses hot inflation print, promising energy shocks will 'very, very quickly go away'"
Every honest energy expert: "The shit hasn't even hit yet. You kids don't know what's coming. Prepare now."
Time will tell.
Our country is operating concentration camps in a facility near you. Don’t pretend this country represents freedom. We are the Nazis already.
The University of Michigan has been measuring consumer sentiment since 1952. We just got the first Iran-afflicted measure for April, and it's at the lowest level ever recorded.
