It's scummy for Glassdoor's login button to take you to what looks like their log-in page but is actually a scam to trick you into creating an Indeed account and collect your phone number and email.

Hello everyone! We are absolutely thrilled to share the next step for Anthro New England. For next year’s convention in 2027, we are officially expanding to become a two-hotel convention! We are proud to announce our partnership with the Omni Boston at the Seaport, which will serve as our second main hotel alongside the Westin Boston Seaport District hotel. By splitting our event spaces between these two wonderful venues, we are unlocking much-needed room to grow and spread out. The Omni is incredibly excited to welcome each and every one of you, and this expansion allows us to vastly improve the convention experience. Major improvements include relocating the Vendor Hall and Registration to a larger space to reduce crowding, as well as the addition of large panel rooms to accommodate our higher attendance panels. We expect this dual-hotel setup will give everyone much needed room to breathe and relax within our convention spaces. The Omni is located directly across the street from the Westin. To ensure your commute between venues is safe, quick and easy, we are arranging crosswalk assistance to help guide our attendees safely across the street. For those with accessibility concerns - the Omni offers additional accessible guestrooms, and the street crossings are level and divided with a median. We can’t wait to welcome you all through the doors of both the Omni and Westin for 2027. I've done that before, but it was too dead this time for even that to work. I had to use a 12V DC power supply to trickle charge the cells for 15-ish minutes, then shorted the pads to reset the battery management board, and it woke up just enough to start charging.

Had a last minute urge to actually pack lighting gear for FCL in case I want to do any photo shoots.

Thankfully I was able to revive my strobe's battery pack. Older Godox batteries self destruct without constant babying, but I was able to bring it back to life after it had sat dormant too long.

Did you take this on the photo walk in Philly a while back? We took similar shots, and I love seeing how we captured different versions of it!

It's incredible that the most powerful company in the world can't figure out how to avoid cramming a heavy jug of detergent in the same box as a fragile carton of medication.

The subs are for remote connectivity and OTA updates. The car functions without them. But if you want phone unlock, remote climate start, and updates, then it's $20/mo ($10 if you find a working discount code).

It's hard to say because Hyundai dragged their feet for years and aren't communicating on what they're doing.

The subscription model is infuriating and feels like I'm wasting money. Steer assist is baked into the car for free, but it's barely usable. The 2026 ICE loaner I'm using now is better but still nothing like Tesla's. And I had to fuss with it to make it stop fighting me.

Yeah they're the same platform. Hardware is okay except the ICCU (12V controller) has a high failure rate and Hyundai's handling it abysmally. It's under warranty tho. The software is hot garbage, but that's on par for legacy car manufacturers.

Does Visa's or MasterCard's "reputation" actually fucking matter? They're like Comcast. They suck, everyone hates them, but we're stuck using them anyway. Pushing their moral agenda on us has zero impact on their profitablity, which let's be real, is obscenely high anyway.

It's fun seeing defense mega-contractors, swimming in cash, in New England offering senior level engineering positions with a salary that's barely enough to even cover housing around here.
