I went to Omaha, a Blue Dot in a red state, where Democrats want to take back a House seat they've had for only 1 term in 30 years. John Cavanaugh has a family with 50 years of political history in the state, & a record of real progress. But he's getting pummeled by outside money.

One might think that a paper like @startribune.com - where I once worked (long time ago) - would note that in a story - even as a point of pride - seeing as how I won a landmark free speech case. But no.

My lawyers & I went out of our way to help this Strib reporter. I spoke to her on the phone for a half hour - gave her lots of good quotes- she didn't use ANY of them. She knew NOTHING about drones or the law - I filled her in. Then they buried the story. Could they be more lazy & petty?

Not even in the print version. Strib editors are the most petty people I've ever encountered in journalism. Every story is weighed whether it makes Republicans look bad.

I found this Strib story on my case by searching google - not by watching the digital front page - where to my knowledge it never appeared. They did this story grudgingly and have downplayed it as much as possible. They even ran someone else's picture with it!
