Rediscovering my love of hockey and becoming more active in the Panthers fandom is one of the things that’s brought me the most joy in the last year. And I know that many people feel the same way about their teams. I don’t want to feel unwelcome in spaces that have made me feel welcome up until now.

I need right wing pundits to stop suddenly acting like they’re True Hockey Fans because the Panthers visited the White House or because Team US is currently leading the 4 Nations Faceoff. Get away from my sport. Name any rules of hockey or any player beyond Gretzky or Tkachuk.
Ultimately this doesn’t kill my enjoyment of hockey and I’ll still engage with the Panthers fandom. But I’ll maybe try to support the PWHL more in the future.
Also inb4 “the Oilers wouldn’t have met Trump” they have multiple known Trump supporters, including one who attended the inauguration.
Every team that won the Stanley Cup during Trump’s first term visited him, and while a few Capitals players didn’t go the majority of their players did. Again, most hockey players are Trump supporters and it’s still a white male dominated sport, so it’s very disappointing but not surprising.
Am I disappointed to see the Panthers meeting with Trump? Yes. Am I disappointed by Matthew Tkachuk in particular? Yes, he’s been one of my favorite players and has advocated for inclusivity in the past. Am I aware that most hockey players are Trump supporters? Yes, they’re out of touch athletes.
If you went to college,
1. What was your career goal when you started?
2. Your initial major?
3. If you changed majors, what did you change to?
4. What do you do now professionally?
1. The closest title would probably be nonprofit manager?
2. PoliSci
3. Psychology
4. Student Financial Accounts

Happy personal development: I’m talking to several MPH programs so hopefully I’ll be getting some positive news in the Spring/Summer. I’ve been working to pivot to Public Health for about 1 1/2 years and now more than ever it feels important to join that field.
Ok this time I’m going to try to actually be active on here for real. Twitter is a wasteland and FB/Insta are rapidly becoming wastelands. I’ll need more hockey and science moots here though
Updates on the Skull Index are shared on our Community Server as well! If you’re interested in the project definitely check it out!

The USFWS used its Endangered Species Act emergency authority today to protect the blue tree monitor lizard that is highly coveted in the pet trade. This monitor lizard only exists in the wild on Batanta Island in Indonesia.

So proud of our volunteer Grace for her work today!
Some slight changes to the website, much more organised now! Reptiles, amphibians, birds and fish are next 🦴

#Education resource! Over the years I created this collection of colored skull #3Dmodels for teaching. They're available to download on MorphoSource & to view on Sketchfab. Because of recent changes to Sketchfab, I migrated them to my website: www.graysvertebrateanatomy.com/work/colorso... (1/3)

Cold weather finally means the tiger salamanders are now brumating. Goodbye Delta and Bucky, see you in the spring.

A Panthers victory over the Canes means it’s time to bring this back.

A Bluesky question game that’s going around. 1 like = 1 question answered.
Yeah why not
She’s been such a delight to keep. Easily one of my favorite reptiles.
People of Bluesky! Let's get to know each other better. What is your all time favorite TV show?
Share your answer in GIF Form! Had to choose one from one of my favorite episodes.
Since there's a large influx of new members to Bluesky we wanted to remind everyone that we have a community Discord server! If you'd like to connect with the Skull Index team, academics, industry professionals, and others we're happy to have you join!

Show me your pet and what they’re named after
Figure I’ll ask over here since the community seems to be better: I’m looking for recommendations for online Masters of Public Health programs. I’d like to pivot my career towards that, especially after some personal life changes. I really appreciate any recommendations or suggestions!
Very excited to add these species to the project!
