Oof… extant copies are pricy. But cheaper (for now) than a flight to Santa Fe….
Might need to do some trawling for similar books in print.

Maybe my entire outlook on life these days: more people needed to have gotten more feedback more often, and short that, they need more feedback now
Republicans: [unsavory tactics]
Media: Gosh, that’s some maneuvering.
Democrats: [punch back]
Media: We need to ask ourselves if this is the sign of a healthy democracy.
Jay Bhattacharya has ordered that a paper showing the effectiveness of COVID19 vaccines in preventing severe disease and hospitalization be suppressed and hidden.
This man has been crying nonstop about political censorship for 6 years.
But he’s the one who is actually doing it.

None of us are safe as long as Trumpism continues to destroy our government.
This bears repeating..."if the determination is that Trump cannot be trusted in the Situation Room, then he's not fit to be president."
“To say that President Trump is corrupt is to somehow understate the size, scope and magnitude of his corruption.
It is as if you were to describe a modern thermonuclear device as a ‘bomb.’ That is true enough, but it is not quite the truth. It does not capture the nature of the thing in full.”
A good explanation of the JCPOA. The first half, anyway.
A friend recently said "I didn't know we had so much access to what Iran was doing."

There's no legal basis for these boat strikes, and US officials involved in them should be prosecuted for attempted murder and murder. The OLC memo green-lighting the strikes is still secret, but there's nothing it could say that would make these strikes lawful. www.theguardian.com/global-devel...

EXCLUSIVE: The SPLC indictment, the Klan history behind it, and the ignominy of Todd Blanche.
Another dark day for DOJ.
Tonight, at Law Dork:
This is probably the best understanding of what's happening right - history *isn't* an empirical proposition anymore, it's a normative one. Right? This is just the quiet-part-out-loud bit.
Cold-blooded murder. Everyone giving or carrying out these orders must be prosecuted, full stop. Trump may enjoy executive immunity, his accomplices do not: the depraved disregard for human life exhibited by those perpetrating these murders must not go unpunished.
We can have nice things.
The next administration must make clear that any immigrant, refugee, or asylum seeker wrongly deported, exiled, or otherwise mistreated by this administration will be readmitted with an expedited path to citizenship. Send a plane to get them.
We can't undo the damage. But we can do something.
USA & its demands are greatest obstacle to truce with Iran right now…
…and that is the story:
USA Makes Bonkers Demands, President Threatens More Warcrimes, USA Remains Intransigent
Congress can end this.
We must compel Congress.
There is no national security so long as Trump et al in power.
listen to this response from John Thune and note how *even MAGA Republicans* are no longer pretending Trump isn't personally directing harassment investigations against his political foes
🚨THIS IS THE STORY IF TRUMP-IRAN NEEGOTIATIONS🚨
Flu spreads efficiently especially in close quarters like military troop lodging facilities. If you are in the military you are required to get several vaccines because of how devastating outbreaks can be to troops and also because they are more likely be targeted by agents of biological warfare.
Let's not forget why this White House, especially Stephen Miller, hates SPLC.
It helped expose Miller as connected and collaborating with white supremacists in the media to spread the white supremacism he learned from the internet.
If not for Trump, what's the emoluments clause for? What's impeachment for? What's the 25th Amendment for? What's section 3 of the 14th Amendment for? What are checks and balances for?
The baddies are cherrypicking the Constitution the same way they do the bible: for their own benefit.
something to note on the prevalence of marketing like “not left. not right. forward.” from far-right/cryptofascist spaces cynically exploiting a growing dissatisfaction with both parties of the establishment.
Fifteen minutes before the President announced he was pausing strikes on Iran, somebody moved $500 million in oil futures. Somebody knew. Somebody told them. Or somebody is them.

They involve a theory, elaborate and airless, that every effort to document Donald Trump’s ridiculous Russian ties — ties that, it turns out, explain almost everything about a president currently on the verge of dismantling NATO — was itself a criminal conspiracy.
Almost everything we argue about is a substitute for the thing we should be arguing about: the immense wealth & power of an oligarchic class, which captures governments, ruins lives and wrecks the living planet.
This class redirects our rage at scapegoats. To resist its lies is to resist its power.
Donald Trump says that he’s Jesus. Some liberal critics disagree.
Worth adding that Russia did as a matter of fact intervene for Trump in 2016 and that the evidence is widely known, abundant, and collected in various forms (🧵 1/3)

WOW: A stunning new report in the WSJ reveals that military advisers intentionally excluded Donald Trump from the command room during the recent high-stakes operation to extract a downed U.S. airman in Iran, because they feared his erratic behavior could jeopardize the mission. 1/
