Even thought the juveniles are VERY bright they’re often hard to find because they stay under leaves and in mossy crevices where it is moist. Your best bet is to go out and look carefully during a warm spring rain when they come out to soak it up!

A very tiny bright orange baby salamander. It is extraordinarily cute, lying happily on moss.

We saw our first little red eft of the year today. If you see one please do not pick it up! Their skin is highly porous and the salt, oils, lotion, sunblock, bug spray, etc. from your hands can make them sick. Use a leaf to move them if they must be relocated for their safety. ❤️

Just a few beautiful recent moments from the lives of our three baby goats. Janey, Cornelius, and Floyd were all rescued from the meat/dairy industry and they will live out their lives in peace in safety here! 🐐
