This is maybe one of my favorite videos of all time I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched it and I still die every single time.
The little hand gestures! 😃
Niche stuff I’d love to write for:
- THE CRITIC reboot
- FREAKAZOID reboot
- PIRATES OF DARK WATER reboot (animated or live action)
- U.S. MARSHALS “fugitive of the week” show (with Harrison helping out on cases from time to time)
- Something with CON AIR and/or FACE OFF
- ON A PALE HORSE novel
Early Miles Morales when he's wearing an oversized version of Peter Parker's Spider-Man. Miles is looking forward in head and shoulder image leaning into the panel from the left. "Okay, okay..," he thinks. "Big question!! Now how am I supposed to sit in class all day when I know I can--" He's interrupted by a loud "CRRAASH" sound effect."Crash," asks Miles.
We all have forests on our minds. Forests unexplored, unending. Each one of us gets lost in the forest, every night, alone.
That is awesome.
I’ve always quite enjoyed all the Brosnan Bonds! This one’s a good one! Michelle Yeoh 🙌
And yes, with the proliferation of supervillains that currently reign over our everyday lives, every Bond feels like a documentary now, to be honest 😂

Silver Age panel of Batman and Robin. Batman appears to either 1) being pulled up by his shoulders by a tractor beam, or he's bucking his belt. either way Robin's watching as Batman hunches his shoulders up with his mouth wide open in surprise.
My first encounter? STAR WARS message boards.
I don’t remember the exact site - maybe it was The Force dot net or something like that - but I do remember the wake up call it was.
It was the first time I saw that the Ewoks were not widely beloved. Also, the fact that the Wars make everyone nuts 😂
I think I still have most of my collection stashed somewhere. My favorite thing about them was how the individual cards still smelled like the gum they came with for a long time after you opened them. Brings back so many memories!
Totally.
If you approach it as “building relationships,” then friendships will develop naturally and helping each other will feel natural too.
Folks in this industry have good “being used” detectors. And they’ll always look out for their friends over a “connection” they worked with once.
That was a great one.
Was always a fan of that show. It also has an underrated finale. That big talk between Malcolm and Lois was an all-timer piece of writing and acting. Perfect punctuation on what the show was trying to say.
Oh yeah. There are many companies devoted to just subtitles and captions as their main source of specialization. And those two companies you mentioned tend to outsource AND do in-house work on all that because they have so much that needs to be worked on. This is nuts indeed.
I used to work at a captioning place. When we reformatted captions for syndication, we used old caption files, or we transcribed by ear if none were available. They are def put through QC in either case, so it’s either intentional for the sake of chaos or, yes, A.I. for the sake of a different chaos

Black and white kitten sweetly resting it's head on a ginger and white dog's head. Besties.
