I think that’s a good point. I feel like when the team is playing poorly, & travel costs are also rising, making the tickets expensive is giving fans an extra reason to skip matches.
I still can’t believe Tochigi City ask 12-year-old children to pay ¥4000 behind the goal (uncovered standing)…!

I did not look this time, but two years ago Kashima away was not so expensive. It is just that we are currently terrible, always lose in the last 20 minutes and the front office does nothing.
But generally I agree that especially away prices are getting a bit expensive.
Seeing so many empty seats at Marinos v Kawasaki, & also a relatively sparse away following for Urawa at Kashima, should give clubs (& the league itself) some food for thought regarding ticket pricing.
It would be a shame if people are getting priced out just before the new calendar kicks in!

Series B blu rays at the ready!
Also, Morooka took the captain’s armband off the field with him, leaving Akita captainless for the closing minutes. I have no idea if that is a rule violation of some kind, or not…?
Yes that sounds right. My personal ‘beef’ is that Morooka had committed enough fouls to have been sent off much earlier (a conspiracy theorist might wonder why the ref held fire until the 95th minute).
Also, having been sent off, surely the ref should make him leave the pitch the quickest way?!
Yeah the ref told him to walk off the long way round, so not his fault really.
Annoyingly the ref halted the game until Morooka had made to to the tunnel - why the game couldn’t restart immediately I have no idea?!
I wonder how many of the away support were fans who lived in Kantō? 🤔 Reckon there must have been a few!
Attendance at Mitsuzawa this afternoon for Yokohama FC 1-2 Akita in the 100 Year Vision League: a season-low 2, 992.
Decent atmosphere (aided by a small but enthusiastic traveling support) despite the wind & rain! #JLeague
In stoppage time Akita captain Hiroto Morooka picked up his 2nd yellow card & was sent off (taking his armband with him as he strolled around the perimeter of the pitch to waste time).
Akita deserve their win, but the referee was not very consistent with his cards today. It’s very hard to take!
All over at Mitsuzawa: after a bad-tempered 2nd half, a scrambled late goal from Masakazu Yoshioka gave Akita a 2-1 win over Yokohama FC. The hosts had Katsuya Iwatake sent off just after the hour, then Koki Doi put Akita in front with a great volley. Makito Ito headed in a corner in to make it 1-1.
It’s Yokohama FC 0-0 Akita at the break at Mitsuzawa.
The visitors did have the ball in the net early on, but the ‘goal’ was disallowed for a foul on the GK.
Yokohama have dominated possession for the most part, but haven’t really made the most of it (forcing 9 corners).
Could go either way!

Attendance at a sun-kissed Mikuni World Stadium yesterday for Kitakyushu 1-0 Ryukyu in the J2/J3 100 Year Vision League: a pretty standard 3, 740.
I think most of the Kitakyushu population was at the Niziu concert next door (Kitakyushu Messe)! #JLeague
All over at Mikuni, & Kitakyushu have picked up their 1st home win of the 100 Year Vision League with a 1-0 success against Ryukyu (big CB Takumi Narasaka heading in a well-flighted free kick early on in the 2nd half).
Cal Jennings almost evened things up with a header (good save from GK Sugimoto).
