It’s been a busy few weeks! I’m grateful for every opportunity I’ve had to connect with folks across this state, learning from voters and talking with leaders about how we can better serve North Carolina. And never forgetting to remind people of the importance of our judicial elections!
Felt so blessed to wrap up women’s history month surrounded by spectacular women lawyers and judges! #ncaj @anitaearls.bsky.social Judge Alyssa Levine Judge Christine Walcyzk
Had the best St. Patrick’s Day with LWV of Moore County - the community in that room was priceless! Women helping their friends, neighbors and fellow North Carolinians to have their voices heard. The League is a trusted messenger of good information about elections, and that matters so much!
Grateful that Lillian Exum Clement shattered glass ceilings for us here in NC! It was an honor to join @lillianslist.bsky.social Senator Salvador @1stormie1.bsky.social @elaine4nc.bsky.social and the great Erica Porter for a Women’s History Month panel at Meredith College last night.
Happy International Women’s Day! As the youngest woman to ever serve on the NC Supreme Court (and only 10th woman ever), I honor the women who came before me and commit to ensuring there are many more after me. #persist #iwd2026
Voters don’t skip down ballot races b/c they don’t care, they skip b/c WE haven’t given voters information about judicial elections and why they matter! Thanks Flip NC for having these critical conversations! Today is primary Election Day, and there are judicial races on your R or D ballot. Vote!
At the NC Supreme Court celebration of Black History Month, we got to see a clip from the documentary “Breaking the Booth” about the youth-led efforts to desegregate the Carolina Theater in Durham, w/ a great panel after the on legal & organizing efforts to combat segregation. #blackhistorymonth
Voting is a fundamental right in this county - make sure you exercise it during this primary election. Primary day is 3/3, but early voting continues through tomorrow. I made my voice heard today! Thanks to the Chatham County Board of Elections for how smoothly run their EV sites are! #ncpol
I’m so relieved that Justice Earls has gotten the medical care she needs to recover fully. No one is more committed than Justice Earls to serving the people of North Carolina. She & I remain clear-eyed about taking back the courts for justice, & the next step is re-electing her in 2026.
Happy holidays from my chambers to yours! The NC Supreme Court had a little Great British Bake Off action going last week. Being one of those judges = #careergoals
How wonderful to be with so many lovers of democracy to share in our commitment to protecting access to the ballot for every lawful voter. Thank you, Crooked Con, and folks from NC & beyond who showed up.
Happy Election Day! Make sure you

Last month, I got to attend both the district court judges and superior court judges fall conferences. As a unified judicial system, it’s important that members of the Supreme Court understand the challenges facing our district and superior court judges. I promise to always be listening & learning!
Tonight the North Carolina Supreme Court Historical Society honored retired Chief Justice Cheri Beasley. As someone who has admired and emulated her service, and benefited from her encouragement, it was honor to be there to witness her special evening.
I'm so grateful to folks in Nash County who are committed to fighting for justice.

Thanks to NC A. Philip Randolph Institute for the kind recognition and more importantly, the tireless work they do to get voters registered/activated and to make sure that every vote counts! ❤️
Yesterday was a special chance for the NC Supreme Court to celebrate our clerks and swear in many of them. I'm lucky to have these three incredible young women working for me in my chambers!
Belated happy 76th birthday to my dad! He's been through the ringer with me in the last year, supporting me in my campaign and having his vote challenged. We celebrated last week with snacks/football watching on the porch and a nice dinner.
Wilson County Dems are fired up! So fun to join folks for Wilson’s Blue Wave Bash last evening
I am so grateful to @emilyslist.bsky.social and proud to have their support. What a meaningful day highlighting how important it is to #ElectWomen
I'm so grateful to the North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys for the incredible honor of being recognized as the Judge of the Year. Coming from other women in the practice, the recognition of my commitment to the rule of law means the world to me!
Had the best time with the Iredell County Democrats last night at their annual Kennedy-Carter dinner. It was an honor to keynote the dinner, celebrate their incredible accomplishments last year, and get excited for all the voters they’ll empower in the next 13 months!
It was great to be with more than 100 young constitutional scholars and future jurists this week at Duke.
Thanks to @dukelaw.bsky.social for having me.
Attending the #ncnaacp state convention is always a highlight of my year! Congratulations to President Deborah Dicks Maxwell on being elected to another term.
What a lovely Sunday evening at the @ncjustice.bsky.social 2025 Defenders of Justice awards. Reinvigorated by all the creative, committed work being done to fight for a better NC.
A little more than two years ago, Governor Cooper first appointed me to serve as your N.C. Supreme Court Justice. Thank you for electing me to keep that seat, and I pledge to continue serving the people of this state without fear or favor.
I’m honored to receive the Jan Allen Courage Award from @lillianslist.bsky.social on behalf of the millions of North Carolinians who stood up and demanded their voices be heard.
On the anniversary of 9/11, I’m thinking of the brave first responders who jumped into action to save lives, and holding close the families who lost loved ones that day.
