I tried to propose a unified theory on the neurophysiology of language from acquiring words to selecting words to speaking them and somehow got an "A". Don't ask me how.
Some more from the current Cities Skylines project.
35 years ago, I was doing a very rudimentary version of this shit in SimCity, and it has come pretty far...
So, Lindsey Graham boasts about this stupid call with Trump and the Secretary of The Navy is gone just hours later. What madness is on the horizon then?
They guard our golf courses and parking lots in Michigan. We sometimes have geese nesting in the grassy areas between parking lots at work. Some years, we've even coned off those areas so people won't park near them.
Weather is weird. We were about 15 miles from that mess on the west side of Ann Arbor and had briefly gusty winds and a lot of rain but nothing that bad from the same system.
That system Tuesday last week that came over the Great Lakes spawned seven tornadoes just in Michigan. One passed right over the western edges of Ann Arbor. 110 MPH straight line winds. They are still cleaning up on some streets. Trees everywhere.
Also, sometimes I think "blinding rain" is overused, but not that afternoon. You could not see out the window for a few moments.
We had one form basically right over our part of town in 2020. It was not fun. We ended up out of power for almost 12 hours because of the degree of local damage.
Wife: "Would you ever publish selections of that blog in a book?"
Me: "Yes. 'Opinions You've Not Heard From Someone You Don't Know'"
NOVA is doing a special on downdrafts tonight.
If you've ever been underneath a downdraft, and I have, for 10-15 minutes, that is.....something.
I mean, yeah, and he does it very well too, as he should.
Gritty became a legend that night too.
The dude also claimed California was being overrun by witches, and now he's the acting civilian head of the world's largest navy. Superb.
*hides in closet*
HA!
All those weekend afternoons years ago watching Julia Child, Yan Can Cook, The Urban Peasant and other shows cannot go to waste.
I think so. I do the cooking and much of the laundry, so there is that too. LOL
Yep. Even my wife complains that living with me is like living in a BBC sitcom.
I'd bet money the appeal wins and the amendment is upheld. We had to go through this in Michigan just to set up a redistricting commission. That went all the way to the state Supreme Court, but it was done eventually.

Day 23: A song with a weird music video
youtu.be/SPlQpGeTbIE?...
I mowed my backyard thinking that this would help it dry a little faster as it is still somewhat damp.
No, this has made the damp more apparent.
I blame my very British father.
Yeah, sarcasm is something I speak apart from German and a bit of French.
Thanks!
"My Way" and now ratings for his stupid show, now 20 years in the past.
Doesn't sound like someone who thinks he has much of a future.
But yeah, the daily links show up here, unless the interface doesn't work, then I have to do it. That's when the interface works again and the link then shows up twice, making me look like an idiot. It's a great setup really.
Let me know what you think, if you get a chance to read an entry or two.
I think I need to market my blog somehow. I could annoy a lot more people that way.
