Hajime no Ippo: Rising:
Some of the most intense fights in the series so far, some really heartfelt and gripping moments in and out of fights, and I've firmly settled on thinking Takamura is one of the coolest characters ever. I've loved every second with this series.
And now... the manga plunge.
yoooooo happy b
Smiling Friends (Complete):
Really weird to see it end off, but I think the way they chose to end it was a good one that felt reminiscent of another similar series (I won't say which). It remained consistently good throughout I feel, glad to have seen this through.
I won't forget ya buddy.
that movie messed me up in the best ways
local femcel makes you engage with her media opinions
(some arent fully true but i really wanted to adhere to one series usage per pick)
Game of Thrones Season 2:
Feels like everybody is coming into their own by now, with some really haunting scenes and great acting, had me thinking a lot afterwards with watching, especially with regards to its violence.
Currently Tyrion ia my favorite he's horrible but in a funny way.
this is not directed at u at all but all i could think watching u play was
"this is a game designed by jerks for jerks"
i think the final boss fight in 3 is my favorite boss fight in a game not because of it being a cool and close and tough fight (but it is) but because of all the emotional turmoil and struggle and whats at stake both literally and mentally for both, really solidified the brothers as special to me
its a game i think gets better every time i play it
holy look back
as somebody really critical of the trailers, i will say that new fist of the north star anime is better than trailers made it out to be
i have my faults with it still, but i think it's competently put together and has the heart i want so far, maybe itll improve
its nice to be happy about fotns
Pokémon Adventures: HeartGold & SoulSilver Arc:
This one drags a bit more than some other arcs, but the general lore and ways it builds up the greater backstory and mythos of Arceus (especially when we didn't have much on that) is neat, and it's good to wrap up some missing links.
Pokémon Adventures: Platinum Arc:
A breezy read that has its good share of cool moments and wraps up a good amount of character arcs. Cyrus redemption arc feels strange but not terrible. Other than that I enjoy its characterizations, especially Regigigas bullying every legendary ever.
Pokémon Adventures: Diamond & Pearl Arc:
Probably my favorite core cast so far, I enjoy the Manzai comedy of Dia and Pearl, and Platinum makes for a compelling protagonist in her own right. Follows the games a bit closer, but is still a fairly fresh experience that never spends too long on anything
Pokémon Adventure chapter names are so funny because they all feel the need to be some sort of pun or alliteration on a Pokémon name and you can really tell when the translators just had nothing
Why is the Graveler Disagreeable I'm going to be thinking about it all night
Lucky☆Star:
It's cute, it's fun, I don't delve into slice of life type shows as often as I should but it was a nice little time to tap into that really throws you back to the time period it was in, especially with its love of pop culture jokes (particularly Haruhi related). GREAT ep towards the end
Chainsaw Man: Academy Saga:
It started off pretty good, I'd say I even liked Asa as a protagonist quite a bit. It has some interesting almost sort of meta commentary on the series and its characters and fascinating things to say. I like it. To a point.
The ending uh, gonna need to think on.
how beat be rolling up to every boss fight
when i pass away, i hope the afterlife has a credits sequence showing everyone i encountered in my life like the ending to super mario world
F-Zero GP Legend:
Fine enough romp for the most part. Not exactly the most faithful adaptation but it's got some fun moments and a cool enough story that I don't mind all that much. Enjoyed the times it would play Mute City/Big Blue, and Falcon himself was as great as hyped up to be. It's fun.
are the ppl ready to know i fw playing as saibaman
as someone who got into the franchise pretty late into its lifespan, i really appreciate how dragon ball game rosters arent afraid to include total weirdos
like dude yeah ill play dodoria and spopovich why not
its something i wish more anime games really leaned into, just having the total freaks
Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Season 2:
As heartfelt and beautiful as the first season, with a more hopeful outlook from the protagonists as Frieren starts to truly embrace the new memories she is making. I felt myself emotionally attached all over again to her and her party and miss them already.
Game of Thrones Season 1:
Does a lot to get you invested in several different characters pretty quick and sets up a rich world with a lot of things going on, a good sense of humor to serve as levity for more intense scenes, and a lot of plots unfolding at once. It's easy to see why this was giant.
Dragon Ball GT:
It's a bit contrived a lot of the time, not always the best written, and ridiculous with a lot of plot points, but here and there it sprinkles in a lot of fun and some memorable moments that makes for a good enough (at the time) send-off to Dragon Ball. It's fun for what it is.
